Just a small correction but it's an interesting detail, the tungsten expanding rod warhead is for the older R-60, the R-60M was upgraded to a depleted uranium expanding rod, spicy missile heh

@@Wolfpack345When it comes to helis and their A2A capability I recommend getting familiar with J-CATCH experiment in dissimilar combat. This stuff is wild. Turns out helis can be dangerous even to jets, especially when equipped with A2A missiles.

Yes this is possible. Additionally the Pilot can fire the R60s and the CPG can use ATGMs at the same time.

The R-60s can only be carried on stations 2 and 5.

It wasn't a stated capability of the missile, but there are a few stories of Hind pilots using the missile against lightly armored vehicles. A common misconception about older heatseekers is that they can't track a piston powered vehicle. They definitely can, and the AIM-9A prototypes were able to track cars and buses on a highway just fine. The biggest issue with using an AA missile at a ground target is probably the proximity fuze.
