Thank you very much, I'm only 2 months into DCS and I got the F-14 A/B but the Rio needs to grow a pair 🫣 So I got the f-18c had the same TWCS from TM like yourself. Now I have a WW '02 Max that's over 140 where I can map Lord. I can't remember all that so i'm mapping a little here and a little there and learning a little bit each day. Now I'm in the gripen now that ain't so bad. It's about a medium fidelity. I believe the f-18 is the most complex and I truly love it. They have a g governor at 7.5 g's. There is a bypass. I forget what it's called. I think it's the paddle switch. I jumped the 10.5 and let go of it before my pilot blocks out. But when I get into a horizontal scissors with an F-16 he sure ain't expecting that. I can cut that two circle out. You know it was the mapping and binding that was more frustrating not knowing how and what in people joined DCS everyday and leave every day because of it. Not knowing that there's a KZbinr such as yourself that helped out immensely. Thank you so much! Very much

Thanks for the help. It answered a lot of questions. However, I am using an old Hotas Cougar. Normally, I would assign multiple functions to a switch depending on whether I was holding the pinky button on the stick. For instance, the airbrake switch is airbrakes, but when holding the pinky switch it is the landing gear. Is there a way to do the same thing using DCS and no profile to the hotas? I have X56 HOTAS prior to the software update I was able switch between the 3 modes and my throttle was working. Now I can switch between modes and my throttle would not work so i cant adjust my speed. I am a gaming newbie who def needs help. Thanks!

Fantastic Info, Ddint talk about Saving Profiles though. I woulld love to know what graphics setting your using. My plane and cockpit look somewhat cartoonish.

I dont have any pedals for me wheel brakes and I was gonna bind them to my HOTAS but the just wont bind. The area is greyed out which doesnt really make sense since I can bind everything else and I could bind it on the steam version (I moved to standalone a few days ago). This also happens with the air brakes binding as well and its just as annoying.

Great Video! I just bought a VKB left hand throttle and right hand premium stick. The problem is that I can bind buttons on my throttle but no matter what I do I can't get DCS to recognize my throttle. Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Rod, I accidentally messed up my keybinds by deleting them. There doesnt seem to be a restore, so im trying to reconfigure all settings incl TrackIR. Is there an easier way for the module to sense my Warthog HOTAS, or do I have to keybind everything manually?

And not even now with 2.7 is it possible to bind a 3-stage switch...and those are common on the most popular hotas, the warthog. But heey at least we have clouds now =/

In the Mirage 2000C has a weird axis for the wheel breaks..!!! Everything seems conventional until you initially move the vehicle from the parked position..!! Under default, the wheel brake axis set up, once you move from the parked position, the axis must be inverted as the pedals remain in breaks locked mode until you step on them/press down on them to release the break lock..!! Works in an inverted fashion where you must step on the break pedals in order to start moving until inverting the axis tune..!! ( I have Logitech Rhino X56 HOTAS) I never could get that zoom to perform on an axis..!! I went into the UI Layer to create VR Zoom function on a bind..!! That axis tune seems more custom cut..!! VR Zoom is more like an OFF / ON button for a default zoom quality..!! I also need to potentially get TDC on an Axis too as I just have up, down, left right and no center function currently..!! I'll likely revisit this one as I am honed in on learning radar tracking and the proper binds for such, pretty much across all modules..!! I basically map all"FC3" modules exactly the same way with a few variations for the F-15 as the Russian Flankers/Fulcrum are all pretty much uniform..!! (That A-10 and that Frogfoot will never be used 🙄 ) Good stuff...!! Helpful..!! Thanx...!! 😎

I'm sure if I viewed this with pausing numerous times I could figure things out but with in the 1st 7 minutes I could not follow you at all...I'm certain it is just me and having no idea if everything has changed in the past 3 years I'm still confused....I appreciate your time and effort but for me, I had to take a breath because for a Noon who has NO idea about the menu's, or even how to ensure their ruddders are active or appearing under some less than straightforward manner (or at least is this case for the TFRP pedals when connecting to the throttle it doesn't appear. Anycase, when I have more time I will have pen and paper ready and pause just to follow along... With so many people having their HOTAS and Rudder pedals mapped I was hoping to find more USER FILES than I have for the entry level set I have....again, it's all me ...I just wish tutorials would highlight or ensure the viewer could follow along in real time. Even so, thanks for taking the time to help us noobs out. I appreciate it.

Hi enjoyed the video. I have just installed Dcs World so only have two aircraft. The SU27 doesn't have axis for toe brakes. I was hoping your video was going to cover mapping an axis to a button. I have that target software but never used it.. I would love to know how to get my toe brakes working. I have thrustmaster t rudder pedals Thanks

@TODarkschnider420 hi There is no axis for toe brakes for that plane in axis assign. I can assign an axis for toe brakes for the P51 the other free aircraft but not on the SU27

Sorry pal, I normally like your vids but this is not basics. Jumping about from one control to another is just confusing and an f/A-18C is certainly not basic. SU-25T is basic, pitch, roll, flaps are basic. I lasted 6:17 minutes, left this hoping you will do a basic video then went to look for that.
