I grew up with these guys. They are great musicians. I used to buy the backing tracks at the Christian bookstore and perform their songs with some friends at church. They came to my town and did a concert and I went to it. I still think the music and message of DC Talk is great and something anyone can relate to.

Kevin Max has to be one of the cleanest, most fundamentally talented vocalists I've ever heard. His vibrato is unlike anyone else's, and his range is so impressive.

You guys were so impactful when I got saved in Clearwater, Florida in August 1989. I attended ROCK THE UNIVERSE and heard the best music of my life! It was a glimpse of heaven. Is verisimilitude being entertained by angels. 🤜🤛 Twenty years later, at age 51, God is so good.

This brings me back over 25 years ago when I heard them for the first time at Six Flags in Georgia. They started the concert by coming down from the ceiling. I was a little shocked and amazed that I could worship God with this type of music. And I have been a huge fan ever since.

I love dc talk, my first concert ever was dc talk's supernatural tour when i was 12. So many great memories from that tour. It's sad to see k-max lose so much of the energy he had back then...times change though and i think he was the only one that didn't have a continuous music career. But MAN his vocals are still on point
@josephrobertson49195 жыл бұрын
He’s still making music and honestly his solo music is by far the best of the 3. He just hasn’t compromised artistic integrity to make the lyrically unimpressive, corny soccer mom music the Christian radio stations play.
@clintonwilcox46909 ай бұрын
He was still making consistent music but his solo career was really hit and miss (even K-Max, himself, from what I've read, doesn't love all the albums he did). His music was very experimental. Some was accessible and some was kind of off the wall. I personally think Tait's solo career was the best of the three (it's seriously a travesty that he quit his band to sing for the Newsboys, as the Newsboys now are the worst they've ever been), but Kevin produced some pretty good albums, too. He's currently with a band called Sad Astronauts.

This is cool and all, but it sadly just shows me that what I've feared about the members of DC Talk for many years is true. And what I've been told from people in the inside of companies in charge of getting bands setup with what they need for a concert.(I.E. money, luxuries etc ..) They're more about the money at this point than sharing their love of God with people. I have been a fan since their first album, I still have it on cassette, and I still have almost everything they've ever released. But I've lost a lot of respect for them over the last couple of decades.
@michaelmasunas12105 жыл бұрын
Newsflash. Even Christians need money. Tell your Pastor to not ask for money. See how that goes. Christian Music is still a business. It's what you do with that business that matters. You should just quit your job since you don't need money. Right?

@stevechristian52685 жыл бұрын
I've been a DC talk fan since the begining and I feel the same way. Jesus is more than" just all right"! This is a remake of an old song originally done by the Doobie Brothers. Christian rap/rock was really just getting popular at the time this song came out and I can understand they were trying to reach more than just the Christian music crowd. Not one of my favorites by them.

@@kchannel4299 , glad you're not God
@shanesimon16765 жыл бұрын
@@kchannel4299 you need to just relax. God has blessed these 3 men to put out music thats positive for everyone to hear. So for you to say God is not impressed with this is wrong. Just because you dont like the style of music. You have an opinion and that's fine. But you need to think before saying something like that. Try listening to a dctalk album before saying something so off the wall.
