I'm 55 and am tired of action comedy CBMs. So whether it's Snyder, or someone else (I don't really care) I need more serious straight faced DC films in the style of Nolan and Snyder. Gunn isn't an exponent of this style of film. He's in the same camp as Whedon and Waititi. Not identical, but close enough, and it's a foregone conclusion the type of film he's going to make at this stage, no need to lie to oneself about it. So I think it's perfectly fine for a DC fan (which I've been since the late 1970s) to not be looking forward to a version of DC on screen based in the comedy style of Gunn. It's also perfectly reasonable not to enjoy Gunn's work and not be lumped in with 4chan or whatever else passes for an online insult these days. It's fine to love the characters and like/ dislike iterations of them based on the creators involved...and still be a DC fan. That's why at my DC comic collecting height I didn't buy every comic book on the shelf each month. It's fine to be selective. And I'm old enough to know what I enjoy and dislike. Gunn's puerile brand of humour and edgy one note juvenile tone just isn't for me. And yes, that is what he does.

I’ve watched every episode and don’t get what people like about it. The episodes are 20 minutes long. Half of each episode is a rushed backstory on 1 character, the other half is boring plot that barely moves the story along. So we’’ve only got one episode left and there’s still a major character that we have no development on. A main character gets killed in one of the early episodes and I didn’t even realize it was supposed to be their death because of how rushed everything was. And then you have all the usual cringy James Gunn humor, over the top violence and tons of music drops. Not to mention the animation doesn’t look that great and some of the voice acting is underwhelming

I think they should have avoided portraying Supermans design with such social norms in order to maintain the phenomenon of Superman and preserve a timeless design so that an advanced alien doesn't become outdated. It breaks the point of advanced being if he does look outdated. But yeah Batman has advanced tech and it just seems to get even more advanced each film they make so it only makes sense to have upgraded his suit in modern time.

I think many loved Batfleck in BVS but hated the movie I didn't hear the fat jokes until the JL movie. He was super cut in BVS. Many wanted him to fight Deathstroke and wanted Affleck to write and direct it but that never happened and that is why we got Matt Reeves. I liked Batfleck and I like Creature Commandos.

What will make it feel rushed is the amount of heroes and villians in the movie. He (Gunn) must focus. We dont need alot of heroes and villians. Just a good story. Just enough to tell the story. What made MCU great was the solo movies before Avengers and Infinity War.

DC didn't (and couldn't) do that. After Nolan's Trilogy, the last thing the DCEU needed was a solo Batman movie at the start. You know who Batman is. A solo Superman made sense because a Superman trilogy was Nolan's and Snyder's original intent. They didn't set out to create a shared universe. But now? A solo Superman movie with a brief showing of other heroes is merely about establishing the idea that others exist too. But there is no need for an origin story. Superman is not Iron Man or Thor, which needed to be introduced to the mainstream. And the reason the MCU was great is because of good stories and it was fresh. The MCU is played out now. It is stale. But I suspect that even if the movie shows only Superman 95% percent of the movie, people will still choose to use other heroes to legitimize their griping.
