So there is going to be 2 Batman’s and 2 Superman’s??? Man oh man it is hard to get excited for DC. They have all the components but repeatedly seems like they mess up. I understand having else world movies but the two biggest DC characters are having two variations of themselves? I’d understand a lesser known character having two variations but not Batman and Superman. Just a missed opportunity not including Battinson into this DCU. I think Reeves and James Gunn really dropped the ball on this.

For Lanterns, I want a buddy cop vibe sprinkled in there because Hal and John have the potential for their dynamic to be amazing as a couple of GLs from Earth who occasionally get bullied by Killowog while maybe bullying Guy Gardner in the process.

If they take what they are saying with the inspiration coming from True Detective being S1. I think that dynamic toned down a little could be interesting, not to spoil in case you haven't seen it but the two main characters are very antagonistic to each other for most of the show but in the last 2 or 3 episodes they really bond as friends and have a real chemistry there.

I did not see the Damian reveal coming but if you think about it, it's such a great way to explore the "no killing" side of Batman that has been so controversial lately. I think the thing I'm most excited for is actually The Authority. That's my favorite team book of all time. I really hope they lampshade the Apollo/Midnighter and Superman/Batman contrast. Gunns doing it 100% right. I'm already pumped for new ,Superman Legacy, the Brave and the Bold(wow,great idea), Lanterns and Supergirl. All this on top of Batman 2, penguin tv show, joker 2, Arkham show. I like Marvel, but I love DC. And all the other projects he mentioned.

At least he is taking the original Supergirl story where she grew up in Argo City, a piece of Krypton flung into space and domed over, ground lined with lead, because it has been transformed into kryptonite. A meteor shower destroys the dome and the lead pavement, releasing the kryptonite rays which kills the inhabitants of Argo City. Supergirl is saved by being put in a rocket to earth, by Zor-el. Superman’s uncle. This was the first and most interesting Supergirl origin story. I hope Peacemaker gets a second season.

Curious to see how animation with weave in and out of the live action. sounds like Peacemaker characters are going to appear in Waller. I think Swamp Thing will be in the DCU, not DC Elseworlds, but he just won't interact with the other characters (at least in this film), but the story impact will be felt in other properties. Also, Paradise Lost could easily give us the Amazonians vs Atlanteans conflict in a later season if successful

Bro I am so excited to see these movies. I’ve never heard of the authority or creature commandos but I’ll just hope it’s good since their so obscure they can do whatever they want with them too. Glad to finally know that the flash movie will be a full reboot (or I guess half a reboot) I’m glad that DC now has like two different brands now where they can have elseworlds stories and the main universe stories plus with animation being connected to the live action stakes. It’s a great way to make it work out Also the swamp thing stuff is confirming that DC will be able to making stuff with different ratings that still stays connected to the overall universe for everyone

Hey Boba! #chapter1godsandmonsters I've been anxious for your video since I've Gunn's announcement. I love DC but honestly I'm really a Batman fan, so my emotional relation with most of these projects isn't that high, and I'm very glad that it's confirmed that The Batman is an elseworld, because Batman is a completely different character when portraid with another superheros, or even with the batfamily. Yet I'd like to know your opinion on some points. If Batman will be introduced with Damian, that normally is around 10 years old, don't you think that it'll limit how young Batman can be in the DCU, limiting also his continuity in a 10+ years film slate? Another thing is, regarding the other project that caught my attention, since The Authority is a group of rogues super powered characters, depending on its position in the time line, do you think this movie can end with a version of the Trinity intervening to stop them, in a kind of Kingdom Come story? This is very refreshing! With all of the cancelations that have happened thus far I was terribly discouraged terribly sad of what was transpiring at DC/WB. Terribly worried. This was a huge relief that a firm vision has been established and a road map of the future. And yes it is the story telling that fans love. Some strange things like Swamp thing and Booster Gold but sometimes onions compliment the sandwich and add texture flavo and color.

Ok so my level of excitement went from "not really sure what to expect from the new regime" and skyrocketed into "HOLY EFFING S THIS SOUNDS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!" Love the selection of characters and stories. An amazing combo of classics and new ones. I was especially surprised for the Supergirl project, the Swamp Thing horror and The Authority movie. Also THE LANTERNS SERIES!!! ABOUT TIME WE DO THE LANTERNS JUSTICE WITH ADAPTING THEM!!! I really love that he's using so much Grant Morrison and Tom King influences here in these movies. IMO All Star Superman was just the definitive Superman story and turned me from a non Superman fan into one of his biggest. I really trust the vision here and I still believe there's many more characters that will be revealed through the announced projects.
