I've been desperate to read some of these and I've ordered Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, The Authority Vol. 1 by Warren Ellis, Creature Commandos and all of Alan Moore's Saga of the Swamp Thing. I don't know when, but I'll eventually get Grant Morrison's Batman and some Wonder Woman comics. So excited for what's to come.

Great picks! I would recommend the New 52 Batman & Robin series from 2011 to anyone who wants to read Bruce Wayne as Batman teaming up with Damian. It's pretty newcomer-friendly too

Just read Woman of Tomorrow and is Masterpiece!! I'm reading again Batman and Son. Has a Superman fan, I'm over the Moon when James said that he is taking inspiration on All Star Superman, one of the best comics and represents basically who this character is.. ❤️ next comic is autority 😎

I’m currently reading Superman and the Authority which is a blast so far. Would love to see Manchester Black in the DCU and I think someone like Daniel Kaluuya could knock that role out of the park

Great thing about this is that James Gunn himself is actively promoting these comics as stories that are relevant to the DCU slate on his Instagram stories and the DC Universe digital service has an entire section in their comics library dedicated to the relevant comics being adapted or inspiring the film/TV slate. You don't really see that a lot with other comic book-based franchises and it's great he's this forward about it

Coy, since you so love Grant Morrison's work, have you read Zenith? It was originally serialised in 2000AD but there are collections out there, although they may be hard to find. It is one of my favourite Morrison works, helped in that regard because of the art by Steve Yeowell.

Literally the video I needed lol. My only question regarding the #DCU is how does "The Flash" resetting the universe allow certain actors (Viola, Momoa) to stay in the DCU? Basically how does that make sense? Jason and Viola both played important roles in the DCEU so having them return to the DCU, where everyone else is a new actor, just causes more confusion among viewers.

I don't get the love for Tom King. His style of over-writimg only works for Vision and Batman, and Iwhen I looked up his Supergirl story I was not impressed. Another gritty reboot that misses the point. Let Batman be gritty, so the Superman family can be inspirational/aspirational.
