Because if you read Final Crisis and saw Justice League Unlimited, it does exactly what did to Glider: it boosts your power to the physical prime and gives you the ability to enslave people not turning them into zombies, but implanting in their mind the idea that freedom, love and happiness are pointless and your only goal in life should be serving whoever holds the Equation. So in that comic cyborg fucked up the anti-life equation, the cure is even reversing it. The anti-life equation when done properly allows you yo control people and a bunch of other god tier shit. Darkseid wants it because if he has it he can become the sole thin in a given universe. We see the result when superman meets a darkseid that won where despite having a chair made up of other heroes he Intones that in this universe there is only darkseid.
