Sorry couldn't find your other comment on the art swap video to reply to. You can complete any Elite content without needing to max every art and swap everything etc. Just depends if you are a min/max player or want to compete damage wise against endgame players. If you are just looking to pick up the game again and complete all the new content you certainly can do that with anything.

Something nobody ever considers is that simply using your [Group Power Heal] [Group Weapon Buff] (In this case, Temporal Extortion) automatically gives prec 20% buff. The Claw is insanely OP. I do not recommend Cog at all unless your whole group's DPS are only prec. If you use cog while there are might DPS, especially in a comp, this gives prec a majorly unfair advantage. Thanks for the video and explaining artifacts to the community though👍🏻

I like inertial innervation foot mod for my quantum speedster because doing innertial flywheel will restore power. The point is doing a double jump in movement mode during battle and it will return 6% power every 15 seconds.

That can work as well, bit awkward double jumping throughout an entire raid, especially when there are grounding effects

I also watched your Light guide from 2 years ago would you do the suggestions you make here for a light controller? in your light guide you went super powered not hybrid is that because your not weapon clipping like your doing in this video?

This is the reason why I just do DPS might my Gadget than change to Troll mode. What I find fascinating with the Gadget skills is the effects stacks - Burned enemies receives more damage when hit by elec. etch. and the CD are very short like Napalm->Gauss->Dart. Then use my supercharge when available and that's it. But if you still want to at least get power back either use a mode or use Defibrillator. Although you can still use napalm and cryo since the later has 12 secs CD even if you are in troll. Namely, when you go troll mode, I advice that any stun effect should not be in your load out if you don't know how to time the skills. My suggestion is use Taser then cut the animation if you're might and Defibrillator. If you're using weapons instead, Defibrillator+Battle Display as a troll is a must in my opinion.

About 90 percent of the game plays DPS. The community views DPS as some sort of competition and it's silly. Pug groups just cycle DPS in and out since they offer nothing else to the group to pass the content. Chme is a good example, DPS in and out until a tank arrives. The entire community is very weird in that way. I charge people to end game tank ( especially people I do not know) very lazy DPS community who rely on others to help them get through content. There's a reason all the powers can dps, the role is a dime a dozen.

I swap everything that troll does but he’s missing 3-4 arts he could be swapping in FOR SITUATIONAL runs/groups. Mercy’s chip, scrap of the soul cloak, chains and Lazarus pit (only really used in e-e+ when you have 1 GREAT healer or 2 decent healers that are on comms) Other then that great video and very informative. ❤️

both trolls have scrap already. No need for mercy or laz pit unless yk when you're going to die. None uses chains unless your group is rather slow with burn. Literally saw a troll doing chains on boss which doesnt work at all.

I have a suggestion to stop art swapping. 30 min cool down each time you equip an art. The same suggestion question you get asked about being “sure” when you buy a bit of gear. Example “are you sure you want to change this” will stop all the artifact swapping

You mean deciding what to use vit spec or health spec? Skill points should always be into your pure spec either full vit then health or full health then vit. The augments is where you can be flexible depending on how you are giving power to the group. There is no magic number because not all groups use the same power. You can swap the head augs easily to gain either a lot of vit or a lot of health due to the percentages buff in content

You always want Rao. For claw you have a couple choices, if you don't want to swap at all you can level claw (at least 160 before you use it in a raid) but the group could struggle on power because of just the pot tick, doesn't always happen, depends on the group. If you don't mind swapping then you could rotate claw/cog/tetra

Do you mean speccing superpower instead of hybrid? Yes it is. I use that style. Play from the tray basically, especially if you use Hol bot for the stun power back. Spec into might and power for a larger power pool and you can use your loadout more without killing your own power bar.

This is wild. I never knew trolls did the whole swap arts. Well it's actually a good idea. A lot of times when I'm on my troll I get bored when I have nothing to do. Besides pick ups or sc. This looks very fun. I don't like the claw at 200 but if I pop it and swap it out I can dump power. Amazing idea! Looking forward to messing with this. I have every art at 200 on my troll but the bop smh. And of course gem. That's only on my healer. Well thanks for this chills definitely going to mess around with this

that's really where controller art swapping came from, there is nothing else a controller needs to do in a raid and other players can sustain their own power pretty well these days so at least now the controllers have something to focus on that does help the group.

I could have sworn in the past you mentioned for buff trolling, you could only have either the Claw OR Commlink on at a time (but I couldn't find where you said that 3 or 4 times). And I see you have them active/on in this video. So, which is it? I'm going to reiterate my comment from about 10 days ago on one of your videos... But I don't follow your suggestion of buff trolling for my quanton troll role. And I don't do elite on him either, so keep that in mind. I use Rao, Claw, and Commlink. But on the Claw, I only have it at 180 because I don't want to get it at 200 since I lose the ability to give power, even if it's just a little. I know you said in the past a few times that you can't use the Claw and Commlink at the same time but you can IF you have the Claw less than 200, you just don't give as much power. I and a league mate were on test a little after the Claw can out and tested Commlink and Claw. We have Rao at 200, Commlink at 200 and 1 Claw at 180, and 1 Claw at 200. And, right, if you get the Claw to 200, then you lose the ability to give any power. True... Then you do give some power, granted it's not a lot. And the Commlink did its thing and gave all 3 debuffs. And then it comes to the Claw. The Claw at 200 didn't give any power as it says in the description but, buttt (intentionally have the 2 buts) if you have the Claw at 180 to 199 (just don't break through to 200), you can give some power. And a lot of people ask us (I think we have about 3 or 4 people in the league using this, these artifacts) all the time how we do damage, buff the group, debuff the adds, and boss(es). And we give them the 3 artifacts that we use, but we tell them, not to get the Claw to 200.

Don't believe in the past I mentioned claw+bop together. I held that BOP is an unnecessary artifact, which it is, because the only reason why controllers run it is to not interfere with the breakout profiles. If those were addressed then bop wouldn't serve a purpose outside the small power ticks restoring pet power. Claw at 180 is the same as 200 besides the 5% crits, you couldn't use Claw at lower ranks because the power return was for 3 players instead of 7. Anytime you equip Claw 80+ you will lose the instant regen of power and it is only a pot tick. If you are seeing a situation where 180 gives instant power and 200 doesn't that is a clear bug but outside of you mentioning it I haven't read that anywhere else.

@@ObsidianChill BTW, I am a quantum troll... Commlink does have its advantages though. It allows for 1 ability, not 3 in the loadout for debuffs. And plus I only have use of one hand, so it's kinda difficult to hold down R2. So, I only use the shield and my supercharge on 5 and 6. I was using a full rotation before artifacts were a thing and that was difficult sometimes. I'm just trying to understand why you said what you did about the Claw. So, if I have Rao (200), Claw (180), and Commlink (200), the Claw is about the same as rank 200? You said it only gives one pot tick. So, pretty much nothing. Can you use all 3 that I just mentioned at the same time, like I do? Because I'm not really a swapper. I only swap when I want to use the stone and scepter. Sorry for my confusion.

lightning bolt means you have power over time coming, the target symbol means you are buffed damage stat wise. On a enemy shield icon means defense debuff is active, heart is healing debuff active and red target symbol is their damage is debuffed

dominance doesn't increase stun duration, this was something before stats revamp and other youtubers like iEddy says still happens but its not true. There is a dominance cap where you have to exceed in order to stun but that is so low for content that there is almost zero way you would not reach it and plenty of adds have zero willpower so any dom would stun them.

@@ObsidianChill when you put skill points in Dom on troll willpower of adds weaken higher in world but weaks willpower in raids and alerts but elite type raids For instance my long-term friend dcuo has about 900 sp on his mental troll runs hybrid with max vid and puts rest in dom for just weaken willpower off adds in content I mean do have to put it left in Dom like said you can put in health

@@explortationnation7463 it doesn't weaken willpower, that has never happened. Specing dom as a controller does nothing but increase your base shield multiplier damage absorption on the shields. There is no reason a troll would ever spec dom. You max vit and you max health as a buff troll.

buff trolling is more in the artifacts than SP. You can take colas etc to buff your health to make up for lower SP. If you are giving less power you can change your augments etc. SP wise obviously more is better but you can certainly still do it with 200-300 sp etc

The level determines it. "Clarion's Guard" states: When you are empowered by a weapon buff, targets above 95% health healed by Restorative Melody receive a shield for 12 seconds. This shield's effectiveness is increased by (0%, 0%, 0%, 100%). Players can only benefit from this once every 30 seconds

So essentially if its rank 200, then it will be at its max effectiveness. I don't know what the original shield value is but I believe it is set in stone. However I could be wrong

Paradox, that was my understanding as well, in that it's determined purely be your artifact rank. Chill mentioned something about the Clarion shield not being as effective for trollers, tho, so he's got me looking for answers here...

There isn't a tank pull in the game that does not override a trolls cc. Secondly, the tanks are using quantum stuns ( Chrono emitters), they won't need to run those to keep the adds off of them at all if the troll is doing that already. It frees up a utility belt slot for them to run something else. I both end game tank and end game troll and that is simply not accurate information. A good example would be Gep+ when the tank is tanking at the door and there's all those adds that spawn, a good quantum troll has all those adds cc'ed so the tank does not become overwhelmed. A controller isn't just a " buffer" no matter how bad the DPS in this game want them to be 😂 I always appreciate the breathing room when the troll is cc'ing the adds after I rounded them up. Any tank whining that I can't use my chronos is silly. You won't need to if you're running with a troll who is doing that for you. Also, the resist profile happens to controllers as well.

A tank can infinitely do a better job at CC than a controller, you have to know that if you both tank and troll. Why would I want a controller doing any stuns when as a tank I can keep the adds, even GPE+ juggled indefinitely? If a controller is doing that, no matter what they do, the adds will eventually become immune and the tank will take extra damage. Why do you think in TTE+ the controller is not stunning all the adds on last boss with DeSaad? A tank can literally not even hit a shield and keep all of them perma juggled. If you rely on a controller to stun adds then you are a bad tank, there is no other way to look at it in the game.

I ran tte many times and never once asked the troll not to stun adds after i pulled them. Even in tte. The tanks are using quantum stuns, that should tell you all you need to know lol. That's your take on it Chill, but its an opinion. What extra damage? The adds become resistant anyway, and its usually like one, maybe 2 of the pile 😂 There isnt any extra " damage" when the adds are stunned. Rinse and repeat. Better off running the dampeners imo, let the troll do his job.

@@marianosantiniello2213 Yea before 2017 that was their job. Breakout profiles completely changed after that. There are no hard or soft suns like before. You are not understanding what tanks are doing. Is the only thing tanks are doing are using emitters? no they aren't. They are using emitters in combination with a knockdown. If you alternative between a knockdown and a stun ability properly then adds cannot get immune nor even attack you as a tank. That is 100% impossible to do as a controller, why do you think end game controllers use BOP Commlink? who cares if the atk and heal debuff take 2 seconds longer to be applied they don't have much impact anyways. They use BOP Commlink because it has zero CC ability. Is it some mystery with the buff controllers always have BOP Commlink as the primary artifact slot and swap Claw? You are 100% wrong that the adds become resistant, that means as the tank you are doing it incorrectly. Another example, in The Sixth Dimension Elite Critical on 1st boss was the controllers stunning the all the adds on the 2nd tank? NOPE it was the tank handling all the cc themself. There is a proper way to play the role and how to teach it, then there is just doing whatever you want just because you want to.

That's your take on it. Round them up and let the troll buff or stun or whatever. Theres more than one way to troll. I know plenty of end game trolls who stun adds, maybe not in your crew 😂 There isnt a " meta" for trolls. Trolling is the most dynamic role in the entire game. I've never once said, oh man I need a buff to beat this content 😂 nor have i complained about a troll ccing adds. Ps. Read my man, I never said the tank is creating the resist effect. What a bunch of pansy tanks. Again, use a Dampener, you dont have to run chronos at all. There isnt a tank " stun" for a reason lol

It's group dependent. I'd go power troll, unless you're running with all people who do not need power at all. You could still use a buff artifact, and make your loadout more controller-ish as opposed to a damage focused one.

This is why scripters are becoming more prevalent in this game, as if speed hacking ain't already a thing. People are pushing art swapping down your throat to be the meta and those who aren't talented enough with their finger resort to 3rd parties. If this ain't true, I play a tank for villain league (already infamous for their antics during SMs) that kicks out non-scripters. Imagine being kicked out because you can't quickly swap out an art or ally. Yeah, pc master race FTW 🤡

yea, controller role has been hit hard over the years. Spytle hated it being a "battery" role and that is really all its been since beta. Battery for power and now Battery for stats

@@ObsidianChill With all the allies and artifacts all the other roles can now do the things the controller was meant for. On top of that the community is toxic towards controller mains. Even the veteran controller's like myself get booted out of content the moment groups figure out you don't art swap. Between the community and Dev's I highly doubt I'll go back to DCUO.

Sounds like people you don't want to be running with to begin with. As far as controller being " irrelevant", I don't agree either. Also: allies, art swapping, etc. Have blurred the lines between the primary function of the roles anyway. Battle tanks who run DPS arts and allies do a ton of damage, yet they can still take way more damage than a full DPS spec. My point is, the roles can do multiple things, depending on how they spec. The controller role is no different. You could make a battle troll, a buff troll, or a power troll. Depending on what allies, how you spec and arts you run, your experience would be totally different based on those things.
