Fantastic video. Been pondering over you tube DD tarp videos for a few weeks now, trying to decide on what size. Personally I think the 3 x 3 will suit me now after watching this video. Trouble is Andy they now do a 3.5 x 3.5 ......Decisions, Decisions. Many Thanks...Ralph

ralphthebrick That makes it hard, I pulled my 4.5x3 out of my bug out box in my truck yesterday and put the 3x3 in along with the 4x4

Hi great video, I watch this a couple years ago when deciding to buy my 3x3 MC tarp. I am watching again now because I want the 4x4 MC. Can you do a new video on long term use, wear and tear how they stand up over two or more years? Thanks for sharing your works.

Great Video,,, I’ve been looking at DD for a bit,,, the 4x4 multi cam is what Iam considering,,, Try looking into Aqua quest “Defender” is also a Excellent tarp.

These tarps do not have eyelets. Is that a problem do you think?

I decided to go with an Aqua Quest. Two reasons, 1: being in Canada I preferred to by Canadian and 2: the Aqua Quest tarp is a better tarp.

I use a 5 x 4, it's great bar the weight, but I did get closed ends. I use the 5 x 4 in all cases, but I am investing in the 3 x 3 though or the mtp 4 x 3.

@@TheSASurvival Thanks, question if you don't mind, how do i lose the shine without losing the waterproofing? my only bugbear with these things, it does not help in trying to keep stealthy.
@TheSASurvival3 жыл бұрын
@@marksadventures3889 great Q, to be honest I would have no clue, I wouldn’t want to loose that waterproofing. That would then become more a canvas than a tarp.

May I inquire if DD tarps perform well in very heavy rains? I am talking monsoon, not a quick downpour as I was used to backing in the US. I have lived the past 5 1/2 years in the Philippines and obtaining gear that truly works for us is very difficult. Any response from long times users who have experienced these conditions under a DD tarp will be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance, Maria and Jack in the Phils.

I have used them in heavy downpours throughout the night and day but not continuous monsoon rain, they are not a super light weight material which gives them the advantage of holding off or repelling more water which is what i like about them, the corners are strong for securing as are all the point around the tarp. I hope this helps

Yes, and thank you for the rapid response.

Why surprised that 4.5 x 3 weighs less than 4x4 ? 4.5x3 is 13.5 square metres while 4x4 it's 16 . Great vid, have a nice day.

You can buy 6 guy lines and pegs as an accessory set from DD for a couple of dollars So with 10 guys and pegs your configurations are only restricted by your imagination
@craigmooring20912 жыл бұрын
It is only to be expected that the 4.5 by 3-meter tarp, being the smaller of the two would be lighter than the 4 by 4-mter tarp. 4.5 x 3 = 13.5 sq.m.; 4x4 = 16 sq. m.
