Wow! Hi Jesse, thank you for the feedback and info about the box. I have a couple of the panel vans on pre-order, really looking forward to them. I saw the Toy Fair video you guys did and long term plan you guys have got to turn your die cast molds to plastic kit manufacturing is exciting, can't wait to see what comes next. I don't know if you saw my other video 'DDA Holden Model Kit Build Invitation', quite a few builders here and abroad are getting involved and should be quite interesting. I know most of them have the vans on order too, and I'll probably do a feature on the vans too when they arrive. Thanks very much!

That'll keep you busy. I've been working on some 3D Printed hubcaps that I >think< look a little closer to the real things, including the Lion in the centre, seeing as how the kit didn't come with decals for the caps.

I was in the CBD yesterday at Metro Hobbies and they have a few different versions in there. I bought the stock one for my "previously owned" car collection. Looks great, almost tempted to by a few more to keep.

I guess the shipping probably kills it to Europe. I thought DDA distributed worldwide, but I guess the figure the market for a stock HQ is limited overseas. Maybe the upcoming Mad Max Panel Van will be a different story?

That kit looks amazing. I like idea of painting your own chrome. Or you can paint it "Mennonite Red" and be done with it.

Im not sure which one to get, i like the Kingswood overall but i'd rather the 308 V8 from the Monaro kit instead of the standard 202

I know, it's a shame there wasn't the capacity to make a '2 in 1' Kingswood & GTS style kit and the way it builds with a flat bottom (no oil pan or space / hole for it) makes it difficult to kit bash another kit motor into it. And they could do to sell the GTS rims separate too. Personally, I'm not a fan of the two custom versions though.

How do you paint the bumpers and other chrome parts? I just bought the same kit

I use a black base coat and then airbrush Molotow Chrome over the top. There’s other chrome/silver spray paints out there of course but that’s what works best for me. It’s a real pain that they don’t come chromed already.

Hi David. My initial look over it seemed ok, the only questionable bit I could see was the bend in the front bench seat. Are there fit issues? I guess you can never know until you start sticking it together. I guess price wise I was comparing it to Round2 Kits.

@PB’s Retro Restorations G'day PB so far I've completed the engine bay the fit is ok required a little filler and sanding. My disappointment is with the lack of detail example the under body some may say I don't look underneath but a kit this price should be better. The body shape although correct the curves are over exaggerated, the rear marker lights are over scaled and should have been clear at this price point. Some people may say these are small issues but there are so many and quite frankly not good enough for this price point. Perhaps more should have been spent on moulds and less on fancy box

@@davidlongley534 agreed 100% on the reflectors, miles too big and I’m sure you’re correct on the curves too. I found it mystifying that they give you ‘Kingswood’ decals, but no under hood decals, at least we could’ve got a 202 and or Trimatic decals for the boot lid. I’m sure once I start building the flaws will become more apparent and I’ll definitely bring it up in my build video.
