Colonel Rai may be the CO of 1/11 GR but we, the 5/9 Gorkhas and all other GR units respect him a lot....... He was one of the Heroes of the Kargil conflict...... Now he's serving in 17 RR .

@@yogesh5416 He was commissioned in 11 GR but before the Kargil war started He commanded 17 RR (Maratha LI) and later command 1/11 GR in Kargil War and awarded by VrC. Now He is retired from his service.

Brigadier Davinder Singh in intro. Under his command first pow from pak army was captured. 1/11GR were under his brigade.
