Not sure how to feel about this, considering a part of me wishes people would forget about this mod already (and stop threatening me), and because this has more likes and views than my own coverage of the original CH as the lead dev. Oh, well. It wouldn’t be the first time someone made me feel like a joke playing this mod. Whatever. Now I guess I’ll just wait and see if people come in here and tell me what an awful human being I am for writing and working on the original mod. At least some of the jokes were okay. And you didn’t go out of your way to insult my writing or send me any hate comments or messages… as far as I know.

Oh you're the lead dev of the mod? I'm really sorry to hear that you've been getting a lot of hate over this mod. I actually liked your work on it. It really shows development for Monika here and the scary factor in the original was something to behold. I never wanted to poke at it with hatred or anything. I just wanted to make it funny as well as wholesome. I apologize if I made you feel that way. Forgot all those hateful comments you got from this. I see a beautiful piece of work on it. You've done a really great job with it. At least in my opinion. You have my respect as far as I'm concerned. @@DokiGuy yup, I’m ArdrethShadow, aka ShadowBionics, aka the “Monika killer” even though she’s my favorite. And that’s what I was kinda going for, this idea that Monika’s just a regular girl under a lot of stress and that she was just pushed way too far over the edge. Some of the more sane complaints I got were how I turned Monika into basically a murderer Disney Princess that needed someone to rescue her (which not exactly, she just wanted someone to understand her and show her to not give up on life) and that the true ending was total BS. Anyway, well, I’m glad you didn’t hate it. I’m pretty much used to people dumping on Captive Heart and Tainted Love a lot. Especially Tainted Love, which I’ll say is even darker than this mod. Even so, Team Traitor’s first 4 mods hold a special place for me and that’s why we want to give them an EMR treatment. Looking back, these could’ve been done so much better, especially since I played it very safe back then. But now that I’ve found my footing and I’ve looked them over, I know what can be done differently and hopefully better.

Yeah same here. I would've liked it better if tainted love ended with both Monika and kotonoha sharing the mc but that's just me really. Anyways you did a pretty good job there. I'm glad to have met you as one fellow Dokituber to another.

@@DokiGuy A lot of people tend to say that. As our former lead coder would say though, "harems are weird," so that's one reason why that never happened. The other reasons being I wouldn't know how to write a harem story and Yanderella (one of the stories that inspired TL) for sure didn't end that way. Although I will say a "good ending" for TL exists, but I just never wrote it since I have a method in mind for putting it in for later. Since our lead coder and I parted ways back in May, you could say I have a little more free reign now to do what I'd like, especially considering the original CH was hampered by his desire to make a "Secret true ending" you could get by playing the mod a second time. And hardly ANYONE knows about it because it's never clearly stated and no one wants to go through this all over again. Only me and Halibabca show this off on KZbin. Me because I worked on the game and him because I told him about it and he's usually very thorough about this stuff. That was a point of contention back then between me and said coder that eventually led to us parting ways. Why did it exist? "Because it'll be cool." For what reason? "Because it'll be cool and screw what anyone else thinks." Our different philosophies in game design led to a lot of conflict and compromise and I didn't like how some parts of CH turned out, especially that secret ending NO ONE knows about that I felt should've just been the real ending from the get-go. Anyway, likewise, especially one who didn't go out of their way to openly insult/threaten me or make fun of my writing (I was getting used to writing again after coming out of fan-fic retirement, so of course a lot of it was clunky). Although I've taken a DDLC hiatus after EMR kind of ruined mods for me, I've recently been slowly getting back into them a little, so I'll always be around, especially for dev commentaries for whatever Team Traitor puts out.

I've always liked Abridged mods, but this one stands out against their background. Such absurdity, in a good way, I have not seen yet. Well, the final touch is a plot blank for the future.
