This song has like 3 10s ratings. At that point, it was time to revamp the difficulty rating that they did in DDR X.

yeah I can't believe that the players who played the old 10s (those were rated 15 or 16 at most on the X scale) could pass this "10" which is an 18. if SN2 added an 11 rating and then X2 added a 12 rating the X scale would be not a thing

@@IunahYT I think the X-scale would've been a thing eventually either way. Stretching the rating scale itself out instead of just tacking on higher numbers lets you more-accurately gauge lower-difficulties as well. This is just speculation but Konami also probably wanted to avoid anything that looked like they were copying ITG after their lawsuit, so adding 11 or 12-footers was likely out of the question when revamping ratings.
