IT'S THE BUS STOP B*TCH SONG! Fun fact: the "DON'T DO THAT, DO THIS" soundbite is a reference to a different ska song that found its way into a DDR game - "One Step Beyond" by Madness. It made its first appearance in the home console release Dancing Stage Fever for PAL regions. The full song starts with the singer commanding the listener "HEY YOU; DON'T WATCH THAT, WATCH THIS! THIS IS THE HEAVY, HEAVY MONSTER SOUND! THE NUTTIEST SOUND AROUND! SO IF YOU'RE COMING OFF THE STREET, AND BEGINNING TO FEEL THE HEAT; LISTEN, BUSTER - YOU'D BETTER START TO MOVE YOUR FEET TO THE RAGGEDEST ROCKSTEADY BEAT OF MADNESS!" However, that intro doesn't appear in the shortened version present in the DDR version

About IX While I don't know what the lyrics are (as they seem to be nowhere to be found from what I can tell) the name IX does hold some significance. It references there being nine innings in baseball. IX was released during the Nettou! BEMANI Stadium event, which held many references to baseball. Also, take a close look at the jacket. They're in baseball uniforms. And I imagine the lyrics are about baseball as well.

And here I am, wondering what the hell D2R is short for. Also, correction: the kanji for “three” can be read as “mi”, but only in the context of words like “三つ” (mittsu). Similarly, the katakana for the syllable “mi” resembles “three” eerily so: “ミ”. Also, Zephyranthes is a genus of flower. Sciency and pretentious, true, but Tag has an entire series of songs named after flowers, starting with… well, Flower. So given that it’s part of a series with thematic names, I think it flies. CORRECTION CORRECTION: The Flower series of songs belongs not to Tag, but to *Yoshitaka*.

Hmm... Here's one I believe to top it off..... Captain Jack has a song titled Little Boy (Boy On Boy Mix) It was supposed to be Boy Oh Boy Mix, but due to a typo, that's what came out....... Also, Highs off U by Scorrpio on DDR Extreme US has the word Fuck uncensored, and the Game got an E for Everyone rating by the ESRB.

Not only was (Boy On Boy Mix) in DDRMAX2, but the typo survived into the Japanese home version AND the next arcade release, DDR Extreme. If Konami is good for one thing, it's title consistency. If a song is capitalized in one mix, it'll be capitalized in all the mixes that follow, and the capitalization in the banners and background images almost always match. Exceptions include some of the 2nd Mix songs that received more descriptive titles in X3 vs 2nd Mix, and the original game's BUTTERFLY, whose banner is written in all lowercase.

Arrabbiata is the name of a spicy pasta Indeed😂 but it happen because the word itself is the female declination of the verb rabbia (anger), so the pasta (in italian pasta is a female word) is angry and so it's spicy😂😂😂 Also being italian native speaker, please let's talk about "Lisa Riccia", it literally mean "Lisa Curly"😂 And well "Alla turca con passione" who yes it's the name of a classical piece with a notification used for musical sheets, but in italian it can also being understand in a far and hilarious way😅

There are a bunch of odd ones in IIDX, I could be here all day, but I'll just mention something even worse which is songs with BS knaji usage and readings. Like 天空脳番長危機十六連打 where "天空脳" is suppose to be read like Techno. Or maybe 二人ノ廃城幽踊宴 where no one really knows the actual meaning of "幽踊宴". Or 閠槞彁の願い where "閠槞彁" are "ghost characters" accidentaly included in JIS without any real meaning. At least it isn't as bad as 7★7★7★ in Pop'n music which uses a unique glyph that was made specifically for it.

For the first few years, DDR got most of their Japanese-market licenses through a product placement deal with Dancemania. That's why a lot of early DDR games sort of have themes going on with their licenses - 3rd Mix with its speed remixes, Extreme with its sports-related songs, and so on. They were just choosing songs from the most recent Dancemania albums.
