Modern DDR versions (for example DDR A20+) have been available in Dave and Busters and Round 1 locations for years now. Game hasn't died yet. BTW if you see a dance pad with 5 panels in an X formation, it's Pump it Up.

Step maniax is available with classic ddr pads but theres a middle button. Like pump it up in a + style though. Lots of customization like up/down scroll, speed, harder add ins, skins.
