Dan: Been mixing automotive paint for over 30 ys (Dupont and PPG). My paint chips go back to the 1940's (have current formulas for most tri-five colors). I also have a paint camera and can scan a chip to generate a formula. Anything I can do give me a yell! We're here for you buddy!😁

I’ve always said: “If you cant afford to be a race car driver😎🕺🏻🤔👍🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🕺🏻, be the best fan you can be) I believe in keeping it in the family whatever it was, racing, building, creating etc etc) MY DAD WAS A PASTOR SO HE WAS THE FIRST MAN OF GOD THAT CAME INTO MY LIFE AND I AM SO GRATEFUL I COULDN’T ASK FOR ANYTHING MORE !! IF MORE PEOPLE SAID: “THANK YOU JESUS” LESS WOULD HAVE TO SAY OMG 😳!! @ THE TRUTH 😉🤔☝️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Hey Dan... short guy tip that helps tall guys reach the roof too. By an 8' long 2x10 and two short folding step ladders. Put the 2x10 between them, and you can walk the length of the roof with enough height to reach the center and not drag the hose or sleeves in the material. When you're done, stand the board against the wall, and fold the step ladders next to it. Minimal space taken up. That thing looks FREAKIN AMAZING getting to be one color.

Great job spraying now when it comes to sanding that product is amazing. PLACES YOU DID NOT LIKE AFTER SANDING JUST GO BACK AND BLOW A LITTLE OVER IT JUST LIKE USING PUTTY, ONLY BETTER ON BLOCK SANDING IT STAYS LEVEL AND DOES NOT DRY OUT AND SHRINK.

It's really coming along. A couple tips for you: Toss that little filter from inside your primer gun, get some of the cone shaped paint strainers and filter it when you pour from your mixing cup into the gun. Also, a roll of plastic masking film makes life easier when you want to spray part of the car. Reverse tape the edges, pull the sheet over the whole car, and trim off the area you want to paint. It's quick, cheap, and keeps the overspray off of everything you don't want painted.

Looks Good! Years ago a Old Friend that had a Body Shop, he wasn't very tall. So he would let all the air out of the tires, that would lower the Car another 3/4 inches, witch helped when Spraying the Roof of a Car.

When I done my 72 nova I had never done body work before & had the body men & painters tell me how to do it & it took me 3 months of working the primer coats. I thought usinng rattle can black paint to dust it sounded crazy but once I stared sanding I realized it showed the low & high points of the metal surface & after sanding & 4 coats of primer it turned out smooth as glass !

Couple Quick tips from a painting pro. (You probably know them.) The last thing you do before spraying is tac rag the surface. (Lots of possible products) gets rid of the dust and helps the product stick. Painting is all about FLOW. Runs = too much flow...Move faster use less reducer, back up. Orange peel = too little flow...slow down, increase overlap, add more reducer, move a little closer. NICE work!

Also, static discharge is a great thing.there is a gun for it after tacing the car/panel.static pulls dust in

Dan just for your consideration colors glacier blue and shoreline beige . In my humble opinion the best two tone combo ever original for 1955 chevy. A painter friend of mine brought it to my attention chevy used the blue later on and called it marina blue but he said they left out the slight lavender tint . Thanks for sharing your amazing talents.

Loved it ! Not a bad roof at all ! The primer will tell you what you need to know . The lights on the paint tell us , "NICE" ! Looking better all the time ! A humble suggestion there , maestro . Whilst the windshield is out , & whilst you are already doing all of the other body work , perhaps you can remove what's left of that (vinyl covering on the dash?) & paint that up too . Your bro BK did his in like a satin finish black , low reflection , beautiful finish . Put all of the chrome stuff on & WOW . When the windshield is in , & you're driving it , that satisfied smile will stay on your face ! No blindness , yay ! Keep given it , she's a Bute !
