de Blob is the most underrated game series of all time. i've played through each game at least five separate times, and the jokes have landed better every time, and that's without getting into the amazing soundtracks you have no excuse not to play it, both games have been ported to steam and nintendo switch

de blob 1 and 2 are part of my favorite osts, they are dynamic through each level so there is a starting track that gets added on to the more you've painted/progressed, and each color you use to paint the world has a different instrument assigned to it and its per track, uploads by RingsOfGeonosis end up getting the track total from ~20 tracks for de blob 1 and ~28 for de blob 2 into ~127 and ~160 tracks respectively plus the 126 different instrument additions for each color-track combination (18 tracks that can be effected with 7 colors to choose from) in de blob 1 and 112 different additions (13 stages that have 8 as having no color in those adds instruments, plus a boss fight that has 3 color instruments and the final stage that has 5 instruments).

I never thought I’d see this game on this channel. Hearing his comments about the beat and the music just fills me with joy. I especially love how you get an instrument playing whenever you paint something. If you keep painting you just get this wonderful accompaniment that goes with the song. And yes, the instrument changes depending on the color, *and* they’re tailored to each song!

Both games' soundtracks are amazing and it's a lot of fun to add to the music as you paint your surroundings. Each color paints with its own instrument.
