I really liked the way you sequenced the maths here. Everyone who watches this should NOT skip the maths. :) One small correction: At 3:10 you call E the kinetic energy. However, E here is the total particle energy which includes rest mass energy AND kinetic energy. You do confirm that later at 4:47.

Really like this series, helping me understand the concept of energy levels through the history, I wish you could make a playlist from the finding of light spectrum to this video

I had a professor who helped me find a way to understand molecular theory- he said the electron does not pre-exist. It comes into being only after you bombard the atom with photons or other energy.

Is electron a standing wave, or does it move in a standing wave's orbit?

Rest mass of a photon equal to zero is simply meaningless. Also, particles don't acquire mass while in motion. Mass is not dependent on velocity.
@AnimationArrow5 жыл бұрын
Where's your evidence for this. Are you going to back up your claim and try to argue with famous physicists such as Einstein or are you simply assuming that everyone else must be wrong because you are confused?
@Helios0Nation4 жыл бұрын
@@AnimationArrow actually he is kind of right and wrong in the same time. A photon has momentum but it doesn't have mass so how does something that has momentum doesn't have mass . That is solved by special relativity not the p=mv , simply if you are going to measure objects that travel with the speed of light you don't use the p=mv you use the special relativity . which is momentum =plank's constant /wavelength

Jadrian Chandra I have seen silly comments like yours but seems to me yours is even worse. You can’t I acquire mass (or energy) while at speeds that are close to the light speed. This is utter nonsense and pseudo science.
@zakmatew4 жыл бұрын
Jadrian Chandra mathematics cannot demonstrate that an object that doesn’t exist - point particle with no dimensions, all of a sudden acquires “mass” or “energy” because it (the non existent object) was driven to speeds closer to the speed of light. I wish magic based mathematics was reality. Currently there is no true knowledge of what light is and if it really consists of discrete particles, is it waves or both. Question closed
@Helios0Nation4 жыл бұрын
@Jadrian Chandra I dont know what is wrong. I understand the mass dilation and as the speed increases the object tends to have increasing its mass causing mass dilation so what did I say wrong? I wasnt even speaking about that I was speaking about objects that have negligible mass also have momentum you use the following formula E^2=P^2 * c^2 + c^4 * m^2
