This video doesn't explain how you could get one slit or two slits with a crystal nickel target? Also - the target is reflecting the electrons - they are not passing through as per the demonstration at the start. Also - there are no gaps in the target - the target is a cloud of electrons around nickel atoms where only the nucleus of each atom is separated by the wavelength of the electron. This all leads to only more confusion for me.

thanks king it was really comprehensive

so what is the function of theta ? λ=hp is just a hypothesis, and davisson germer proved it with the experiment. but how do they use theta to prove the hypothesis?

Thanks allot Sir It really helped But I have 1 more question and i.e. Was electron behaving like a particle and wave both in Davisson-Germer Experiment ? Because, it produced cintillations (property of particle) and does constructive interference (property of wave) at the same time in that experiment.

But still what bugs me. The way you make x rays is almost the exact same way they used in this experiment, and noone ever explains this. To me it feels like electron energy gets converted to x rays since they gain momentum and are quantized, but they might actually be little particles gitting the relatively stationary electrons in the nickel and due to compton scaterin and conservation of energy x rays are produced
@DeezNutz-ce5se Жыл бұрын
X rays are only produced at higher voltages as far as I understand. You made a good point though.

The only problem is that an electron is not a particle
@PhysicsHigh4 жыл бұрын
Actually it is and it isn’t. It is a particle in terms of standard model. Lepton. But it has no volume but still has mass. Though it also has wave properties. Depends on what experiment you do.

@@PhysicsHigh Well this is the narrative i agree, but its far from reality. It never is a particle - except if you meassure it with a detector that interferes with the aether - making it seem like it has mass. Sort of a z pinch effect.

@@manipulativer Why are you considering the aether when that theory was already busted by Michaelson and Morley? The aerther does not exist, check out the experiment of Michaelson and Morley, because I think that you are confusing an electromagnetic wave (light, and it is important to also note that Michaelson and Morley knew that light only behaves as a wave at that time, not as a particle as it explains in this experiment because this experiment was like 60 years after Michaelson and Morley experiment) with an electron beam

@@lucreilan7863 because m and m experiment showed only for aether to be somewhat stationary. They redon the experiment with better precision and it was detected an aether drift. Also, Sagnac interferometer works and was made to prove aether AND considering LIGO has the exact same lay out as m and m it's clear they are meassuring aether. Crt gun does not shoot particles but polarized aether streched due to potential influence of the catode. Why would Nikola Tesla also speak of aether? and why would media push lies of einstein and others? To distract the masses from true knowledge as you know, knowledge = power.

@@lucreilan7863 also Nikola Tesla explains the wilson chamber and led addition. He also explains that matter gains its energy from the outside, so the maser clock is ofcourse working differently based on speed and gravity. Magnet is a vortex and not lines of force... charge gets stored IN the dielectric not on the plates... is small stuff like that that adds to the confusion and the winner? EM waves are longitudinal and not transversal. Nikola Tesla explains this well
