In this Physics / Chemistry video in Hindi for class 11, class 12 and B.Sc. we explained de Broglie's hypothesis and matter wave. In hi Ph.D. thesis in 1924 he postulated that every matter is associated with a wave whose wavelength depends upon the momentum of the particle. And he named this wave matter wave. He hypothised that the wavelength of the matter wave is the ratio of the Planck's constant to the momentum of the particle. This equation is called de Broglie's wave equation and the wavelength is called de Broglie wavelength of the associated matter.
