In this Physics / Chemistry video in Hindi for class 11, class 12 and B.Sc. we explained de Broglie's hypothesis and matter wave. In hi Ph.D. thesis in 1924 he postulated that every matter is associated with a wave whose wavelength depends upon the momentum of the particle. And he named this wave matter wave. He hypothised that the wavelength of the matter wave is the ratio of the Planck's constant to the momentum of the particle. This equation is called de Broglie's wave equation and the wavelength is called de Broglie wavelength of the associated matter.

Sir what u said is very true.....we cannot truly measure a student's potential untill he has the chance to prove himself...i am very interested in astrophysics but i dont think i would be able to do so because of the barrier of knowledge that is the grades but still i am trying my best and the most help i hv had frm neil degrasse tyson.....thank u sir

sir, please make more videos on quantum mechanics. I'm just loving this series. I'm a bsc student and these videos are very helpful. The way you explained davisson germer experiment, one could hardly find that in any text book. Waiting for the video on gamma ray microscope thought experiment.

It seems that surface of matter contains tiny black holes, which can not seen by us. During refraction of light through glass surface light bends towards the normal. It is known that light is uneffected by electric or magnetic fields even they are very strong, the only thing left is gravitation field which can deviate the light partical. Light is a partical according to photoelectric effect.Now in the year 1919 during total solar e cclipse light was bent by an angle equal to 1.75 arc radians it was observed by sir Eddington. When the force required to bend light through this angle was calculated , it was about 2 multiplied by ten to the power minus twenty eight Newtons. It is found that neither neuclius nor electron has such large gravitational force on its perifery whose radius is of the order of ten to the power minus ten and minus eighteen meters respectively . We came to a conclusion that surface of glass contains tiny black holes which have diverted the photones from its path. Also lateral inversion in mirror shows that p hotone is bringing information from from such a place which is running in opposite to us
