I can’t believe how much these subframes rust. Mines 2013 and is starting to show signs. I use Vactan rust converter then lanoguard on top. Vactan is really well priced

Her Steve, as you know you cant always get rid of the rust completely. The subframe is still good, the majority of the big areas of rust are still being held at bay, but there is some bleed through on the edges of some seams. But it's far better than it was. Biggest disappointment is the condition of the kunifer brake lines. Surface corrosion is quite bad with them. I must say though I do drive it in all weather conditions apart from when the salt is on the roads in the winter.

Hey, Simon. Yeah it was a bit of a struggle on my back, pulled my neck during the cleaning stage lol. Was the rear subframe easy to get off,thinking of doing mine soon

Hi Mini One... Yes the subframc came down really well considering. Once I had come to terms with needing new brake lines & having to remove the tank before the subframc it all came out OK. Didn't attempt it all in one that seemed too much faff. Yeah so all good, with penetration oil of course 👍
