The best song to come out of Greece in its history. The riff is incredible, the girl"s voice strong, passionate and this is the side Greece should show to the world instead of its eastern inspired usual music. Oh, and its original. No copy of some foreign song.

Please no, the same 4 chords over and over, it gets boring so fast. The fact that you’re lauding such an uninspired song as an original tune (while rightly pointing out that most major Greek hits are just translations of popular songs), shows how biased you are towards ΜΠΛΕ. And that so called eastern inspired music has been part of our history ever since the Turkish occupation, a good 400+ years of Greeks listening and playing eastern scales in their music. While this song is yet another pop tune influenced from foreign musicians of the last 20 years, so which is more close to our history?

@@DecontructRecreate So you're saying because we were under 400 years of oriental influence it is acceptable to listen to eastern garbage? Just because a lot of Greeks like that "oriental inspired" music does not mean it reflects our history. You call it "history" i call it " tyranny" and "oppression". While other Europeans were enjoying the renaissance Greeks were under Turkish occupation. Don't confuse the words "occupation" with "history". It's history yes but not of our creation or want. When i see the majority of the greek populace listening to that trash and going to "skyladika"( types of music clubs playing eastern inspired music) i want to vomit. Because let's face it, it is not just the music that reflects on eastern traditions but the entire way of doing things in this country. I don't see how this song is a copy of a western song. The rhythm maybe western inspired but it is original.

borinakoune skyladika isn’t an eastern inspired music. it’s just oversimplified music to appeal easily in people’s ear. You can’t call eastern music shit when most of our ancestors are eastern like Pontians and Greeks from Smyrna. It’s our tradition and artists like papazoglou or vamvakaris are embracing these traditions with their own unique way.

@@borinakoune1803 Αυτό δεν είναι το κατάλληλο μέρος για μία τέτοια συζήτηση, αλλά η Ελλάδα είναι μια μοναδική γέφυρα Ανατολής και Δύσης. Τα θεμέλια της ελληνικής παράδοσης μπαίνουν πολύ πριν τις λαμπρές μέρες του δυτικού πολιτισμού, δηλαδή της αναγέννησης (η οποία βασίστηκε στον αρχαίο ελληνικό πολιτισμό, αλλά θεωρώ προσβλητικό να λέμε ότι ο αρχαίος ελληνικός πολιτισμός είναι "παγκόσμιος", οι αρχαίοι δεν θα το έβλεπαν έτσι και την παράδοση την ζεις). Τέλος πάντων, μόνο την βυζαντινή μουσική που ακούμε σε ορθόδοξους ύμνους να μελετήσεις (όπως και πολλά άλλα) βλέπεις πως έχουμε πολλά μη δυτικά στοιχεία στον πολιτισμό μας. Μην κρίνεις την ανατολή και τη δύση μόνο με βάση το σήμερα. Απλά να σου πω ότι οι προπαππούδες μας θα προτιμούσαν τη σύγκριση με την ανατολή παρά με τη "φράγκικη" δύση.
