I’ve shared this video and your winterize video many times in the wolfpup 17jg and wolfpup rv owners facebook groups. Everyone loves these videos for how simple they are!

Very helpful! I am de-winterizing for the first time and was very nervous about the process. This really helps with the worry because it is so straight forward. Thank you for taking the time to make it!

This is such a great video!! One question - does the water heater really make that spaceship sound when you flip it on?
@ateamrventures Жыл бұрын
Winner-Winner! I was wondering if anyone was going to catch on to that. That's actually the sound of a Ghostbuster's Proton Pack being switched on. Great ear!

Is hooking up the city water and turning on the water heater just to make sure the heater is working?
@ateamrventures5 ай бұрын
Yes. It's up to you if you want to do this part or not, but it's simulating being at a campsite with water hookups for the RV. Turning on the water heater is just testing to see that there are no water heater issues (better to repair at home, then on the road, if there is an issue).

If you're not going to be camping right away, I assume you should turn the hot water heater back off after you confirm it's heating properly?
@a-teamIL2 жыл бұрын
Yes, definitely good pass along. This goes without saying ... not using it, keep it off.
@gmrick1412 Жыл бұрын
@@a-teamIL I used your guide precisely and returned the the video a second time to make sure I didn't miss something when I got to the point in which you turned the heater on, but didn't turn it off. Maybe you should add that point to the video. Great video. Thank you.

At the very end, you opened and drained the gray water tank of any anti-freeze. Why didn't you drain the black water tank as well? There was anti-freeze in it from clearing the toilet.
@ateamrventures11 ай бұрын
You can if you want. There is MUCH MORE anti-freeze from clearing sinks, showers, etc., than the minimum amount from the toilet. For me, it wasn't worth it.

When is the water drinkable again?
@ateamrventures11 ай бұрын
Since everyone's situation is different (e.g. RV, camping time, etc.), look up and apply it to your needs. For example: www.google.com/search?q=when+is+rv+water+drinkable+after+dewinterizing&rlz=1C1UEAD_enUS1029US1029&oq=when+is+rv+water+drinkable+after+dewin&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUqBwgBECEYoAEyBggAEEUYOTIHCAEQIRigATIHCAIQIRigAdIBCjE3Mzc4ajFqMTWoAgCwAgA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Is not fresh water the same as city water????
@ateamrventures5 ай бұрын
In RV terms, "fresh water" tank is for areas like "boondocking", (fill up anywhere) where there is no availability and connection to a "city water" spigot (constantly connected to your RV for water). Fresh water also requires the water pump to be on, as well.
