Can anyone tell me the reason why Tokyu Lines (and the other lines such as Metro Hanzomon Line and Namboku Line, Toei Mita Line, Saitama Railway) using AAR coupler instead of Shibata?

The Tokyu Toyoko Line is fixed to 8-car trains or 10-car trains. Similarly, the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line is fixed to 10-car train. Similarly, the Toei Mita Line and Saitama Railway Line are fixed to 6-car trains. There is no need to separate train formations on these lines. Normally, there is no need to connect trains to each other. The coupler is used only for emergency relief purposes. That is why AAR couplers are used.

@@autoredox Shibata is more likely to be used on commuter trains that often requires coupling as shibata one is less play or i would say joined tightly between couplers and it do affects ride comfort. however Longer commuter trains that cars are permanently fixed, don't normally comes with Shibata. No point of having complicated mechanism to be equipped only just to be used on emergency situations. instead fitted with AAR so that way trains can still be joined in case of break down or accident that needs tow from other trains. ofcourse, it wouldn't be happen during in service. Shibata do requires more maintenance and parts so rather equipped with Shibata which don't get benefit out of it(as cars are permanently fixed), they equipped with AAR Instead. Thats pretty much i can think of...
