De-yellowing a vintage Star Wars Hoth Wampa using hydrogen peroxide in easy to follow steps

Very nice restoration of that Wampa. I am working on doing the same process on my Wampa. Did the yellow continue to stay off or did it come back later?

Mine hasn't come back but I understand if you were to leave him in direct sunlight for a long time it will yellow again

@@geeklunchmeet that is good to know man. I can already see quite a difference after just 4 hours in the sun yesterday! I will definitely keep him out of the sun when all is finished. Makes a big difference to how the figure looks.

I decided to de yellow a couple of my star wars figures today with some Hydrogen Peroxide and since I am in Arizona with bright sunlight hopefully it won’t take long but I only had 3% peroxide so it may take longer

Im gonna try this technique with my wampa tomorrow how many days exactly did you leave him out?

It entirely depends on how sunny it is where you are and how yellow the plastic is. If you've got brilliant sunshine and fresh hydrogen peroxide it may only take a few hours. Just keep checking it regularly until you are happy with it. Good luck🙂

@@evanmiller2562 quite a few to be honest. I did loads of Star Wars figures with the stuff I had. You'll start to notice when things start taking longer or don't get quite as white. I think I noticed it stops producing the bubbles too.

@@geeklunchmeet right coz unused one and it barely worked the. Again only its head was submerged. I'm getting more tomorro and leaving it in the sun for a few hours then hopefully something will change
