I've been wanting to add a big bore suppressor for things like my single shot 444 or 45-70 to use during primitive weapons season just because once you go hunting suppressed for the 1st time you never want to hunt any other way again. I kind of wish this one was a little shorter or it was modular so you could remove a couple baffles just to shorten it up for hunting but it's still a really cool can. Great video as always keepem coming brother!!!

I’ve heard several folk say that it should have been made modular like the Wolfman 🤔 Honestly that would have been pretty cool. I can see though that it would have brought the manufacturing price up. Still, it would have been pretty cool 👍

@@CalebDowning Yeah man I look at a do all suppressor as being one I can shorten to be more practical to use on a handgun, then when I go hunting I already have a long barrel so again I want a shorter one for that, but when I'm plinking sound suppression is more important so the added length to give you more volume is more important. On every video I've seen on this suppressor everyone seems to be in agreement calling it a do all suppressor so if that was Dead Air's intentions it probably should've been modular. That said they could've been calling it a do all because it can be used on so many different calibers so things like handguns and hunting wasn't really their main focus. There's plenty of modular suppressors out there to choose from so it's not a big deal I just like Dead Air and wish they would've done that or release a shorter version later which is something they regularly do... Take care brother!!

I agree with you man. They kinda said it was a “do all” can with the name..Primal(it’ll eat everything). But from everything I’ve seen it heard on their end is that it’s intended for the big bore calibers but “can” do all the other calibers. I’m gonna play devils advocate and say I agree with them. Having a can that is specific to certain calibers is best. The “do all” aspect is a bonus but only that. From what I’ve heard that’s their reasoning. I do hope they come out with a modular version but Pappas himself said they aren’t planning to 😏

I believe dead air beat the form 1 but, it seemed to have a lower pitch, more bass. The dead air seemed to be a higher crack sound.

Agreed. If I clipped the Form 1 it’d probably sound even better. I was honestly very pleased with how the Primal did, especially on the 30-06 👌

I want this for the 45/70, 44mag, and 10mm. I can't find anything. 40 caliber/10mm. Just .22, 556, .30 caliber, 35 caliber, and 45 caliber. But the .40/10mm seems to be regulated to a .45 can.

The Primal is perfect for that. If you wanted something slightly smaller, then the YHM R45 is a good option. But the Primal is gonna be the best sounding 🤙

Do you know how quiet it is compared to a wolf man on 9 mm sub gun?

It’s pretty comparable, but it is larger. If you are looking for a specific 9mm sub gun can then I’d go Wolfman, but if you already have the Primal then it will do a great job filling that roll.

Is the front cap interchangeable like the other models? Do you think it would help with the 5.56

Yes, the front caps are compatible with the Sandman/Nomad series. Adding the 5.56 front cap will help in you plan to shoot this in that caliber.

Curious if the different end caps are worth purchasing. I am currently waiting on my form 4. My reason for purchasing was for a 450bm. But would like to put it on a 5.56 . Think the cap is worth buying?

The endcaps do help. I know that on my Sandman cans it make a difference when I out on the 5.56 cap vs the 30 cal one. I’ll try and remember to do a short video on that next chance I get 👌

You’ve got to be listed on their trust to use someone else’s can without them being present. There may be one ow two other ways but you can’t “just borrow” an NFA item 😏 Your right about that.

What did you do for an adaptor to make the KeyMo work on the Pap 92?

I hopped the collar off the Pap and threaded the barrel 5/8x24. It had barely enough material to thread but I got it on and it hasn’t budged 👍 I did a little video on it somewhere here on the channel.
