I absolutely love my Odessa, zero issues with it. From my USP 9 Tactical to my P365X, it runs on everything. Being able to tune the gas system so the casing trickle out is really cool, I wish more suppressors allowed you to do that! Great video. I will say -- I disregard the alignment line, completely. Mine (before I even shot it) needed to be tightened down a bit. I've always simply ran all of my baffles snugged up tight -- but by hand. No tools needed. Never had an issue with any baffles backing off.

Good idea with the baffle builds using standard and sub-standard rounds. That was a good way to show people on how quiet the suppressor can be in its different configurations, those hush rounds are no joke, you can shoot them in a library.

I own one of these and bought it to run on my Glocks. I have multiple glocks and did not want to replace all of my night sights with suppressor sights. It works great with Glock 19, 26, 43, and 43x. Has to be cleaned regularly and they do make a mount for PCCs although they say this is a pistol can. But hey, the PCC runs with it too. Would recommend this to anyone considering it

You covered everything very well man, I appreciate it. I am still curious, what's the reason for not using this on say a sub2000?

Awesome man, glad the video helped 😃👍 You could use it on a Sub2000 but you’d want a direct thread or a fixed barrel spacer since the barrel doesn’t move.

Picked mine up 7/24/24 Came with 10 baffles NOT 11 and did NOT come with the cigar case. Hope that helps anyone. It’s gonna go on a G19 with 7 baffles configuration. I am curious about the Griffon quick attach system you have.

Hmm, I wonder why they quit doing the cigar boxes 🤔 That Griffin mount is the Cam-Lok. If I was to redo it then I’d get the Ez-Lok. Same concept but a little more robust.

The Cam-Lok doesn’t use O-rings. They make an Ez-Lok as well and it appears to lock up a little better. The Ex-lok isn’t as quick but it seems to be more secure. I haven’t had a chance to try the Ez-Lok in person though.

I chose the Odessa-9 because it was the only can I could find that would fit under the handguard of my FM9 upper. I'm using a Rugged 1/2-36 piston and a fixed barrel spacer to make that work.

You can (with a direct thread adapter) but the Wolfman is significantly more ideal on the MP5.

I eventually want an Odessa, but for a dedicated 9mm pistol can, how does it compare to the wolfman, sound wise? I’m not too concerned about gas, but I do like the fact the Odessa is user serviceable.

I own both. The Wolfman in short configuration isn't too bad on full size handguns. Especially if that full size handgun has a steel frame. But anything smaller and you'll run into issues with it being very front heavy. Also, the diameter -- it's fat. Great for a PCC/SMG but not ideal for a handgun. If you're running a red dot, you can clear the sight over the Wolfman. Otherwise, you'll have to "aim through" the can, even with suppressor height sights. That said, it does sound really really great on a handgun. It's just that the Odessa is more ideal to shoot on a handgun.

If you’ve got subs then it’s fine. Supers aren’t bad if you use all the baffles.

What do you mean by "wet"? And could I run it out of the box with my walther ppq? Or would I need a special recoil spring?

Running a can wet simply meant putting some kind of wet material inside the can. Water works as well as gun oil, lithium grease, or wire pulling gel. Running a can wet is dirtier but will generally make the can slightly quieter. I’m not sure if the Odessa will work on the PPQ but as long as the PPQ is threaded then I would assume it will.

Im looking for a catch-all suppressor for my .22 and 9mm guns. I know you said it should be only used for pistols, but does that mean it is not as effective on longer barrel firearms? I have a glock 19, scorpion evo, .22 beretta fsr, and a m&p 15-22 which all use 1/2 28 threads. I was wondering if i could use this on all four since they have the same thread and the suppressor says rated for .22lr and 9mm? What would be the downside with using this on the longer scorpion evo and m&p 15-22? Thanks and great video!

Great questions there. I’ll start with the downsides… No matter what, a multi purpose 9mm and 22LR suppressor will not be as quiet or efficient as dedicated 9mm and 22lr suppressors. That being said, you can get away with the Odessa on the firearms you mentioned. For the Scorpion Evo, you will need a fixed barrel spacer or a 1/2x28 direct thread adapter. If you used the booster/piston on the Evo then you’d probably damage the suppressor. Actually the same thing would be true for the 15-22 and Beretta FSR since they are fixed barrels. So you can make it work on the 22’s but it’s not going to be as quiet as a dedicated 22 can.

Great review! I am considering the Odessa 9 for a dedicated pistol suppressor. Right now I only have 9mms but might as a PSA Rock. Did you test it on 5.7 yet? I'm curious how it sounds on it also.

@@CalebDowning lol I watched that video of yours. Unfortunately I don't think the microphone picks up the benefits of a can on rounds that are supersonic. I could tell it did cut some of the sound signature though. I wish I could hear some of them in person.

Your right, the microphone will never pick up a the sound like our ears do. I was very surprised by how well it did though. I think the Odessa would work but that’s a huge bore for a 5.7 to actually sound good through. If you could find someone to make a 5.56 front cap then you may be on to something 🤔

The Wolfman would be a great choice. Perfect for the Stribog 👌 The Odessa is a very specific can that fills a very specific roll. From what it sounds like, I think your on the right track going for the Wolfman.

Well, you said it, it’s a Cam-Lok. Perhaps you are referring to the piston modes, I’m gonna go out on a limb and assume that. The piston is going to be the one labeled for “SilencerCo / Rugged / Dead Air Odessa 9”.
