Poor Tatum! The army really messed up. Why did they think no civilians present when they only looked night. Kids and their mom's don't go for midnight walks 😢 not sure about their new ally though, feels like they made a deal with the devil 😮 great writing as always, can't wait for part 2 😊

I think I'm in the very small minority where I really don't care about the miltia characters & wish this arc involving em would end, at least in my opinion.

Yeah the militia arc hasn't been my most popular, but there's one more in Spokane before a 4 book series with a military focus and then the main series will be off to another location.

@DerekSlatonHorrorAuthor yeah I'm sorry man, you're a great storyteller but I just can't find myself to hate the Military like I did with the QXR group, I still have a gut feeling that Maxwell is the true overarching antagonist for this arc & the miltia and Military will team up to defeat him. That would definitely get me back into this arc. But I'll still listen & comment because I really like the Author of these audiobook.

Idc about the militia either, but then again, I'm here for the zombies lol. Tales From The First Month is my favorite kind of story. Of course one reason being I'm not caught up with the main story.....this one is going to force me to get caught up, so I know wth is going on lol

No worries at all! I think i drug this arc out a little too long, but the final 4 books are going to be zombie infused mayhem on a scale not seen since the early days of the apocalypse

@@DerekSlatonHorrorAuthor Don’t buy into the BS. Military killing civis and radicalizing their families is a tale as old as time. Look at the past 20 years of the US doing this in the Middle East and it plays out in your story right here just in terms that people in the west are more likely to relate to. Awesome story and don’t let the haters turn you off of continuing it!

It seems like the military is incompetent all the time compared to the militia. It’s like all the soldiers were recruited on Day 0 and got no training at all. Also it seems like ever since the apocalypse started, the military never had ammo to begin with. We know that the Navy should still be up and running with a couple of ships but they don’t use any support from them. Anyways it’s just my thoughts, I love the stories as usual and still waiting on then invaders next part to come out

A lot of the military, especially in Spokane, are the less experienced troops, hence the incompetence. Ammo has been an issue due to there not being any supply lines, and the militia taking a good amount of the ammo in the region over the first month. Navy support is going to be brought up in the very near future, but the biggest reason they haven't utilized it is due to civilian death concerns that would provoke a bigger militia response.

Do you agree with the reading order on fantastic fiction? I can't share the website because of KZbin rules. But if you search your name, you'll see the reading order after the "new and upcoming books". I started with a relatively new book in the series, before I realized that there were many many more books. I am one of those that can't bear doing that lol. I am a ... "completionist", I suppose I have to start from the beginning. Usually in published order, unless the author suggests otherwise. So I wanted to make sure that that is the correct order. I'll be cutting out the ones not related to this series and reading those after I complete (or catch up with) this series. Thanks so much! 💚

So the best order to go in will be the main series playlist on this channel (click the playlists tab on the main channel page). Once you get through book 47, you can listen to the 18 part Lowcountry standalone series whenever you like. The other stories (Tales series) are standalones that take place early in the outbreak and can be listened to whenever you like!
