A student 20 years ago, placed a cassette of Dead can dance on my desk and simply stated "this is something you would like ". Thank you Scott....

I heard Alion in the cafe. Had to ask the manager what it was because it was his CD. Then I went to Holland and someone made me a cassette, and is they gave it to me, they said I think you would like this. It's your style. Twenty-five years later I'm still listening to them.

Amazing! Thanks for posting!!! For me, I met a sweet girl in the mall so many years ago. She introduced herself to me as we both had on Cure shirts. She was a few years older and she introduced me to so many other bands. We used to hang out every few weeks and we would write letters to each other. That was the early 90s. She tragically died in a car accident a few years after I met her. I am always grateful to her and have since, never met anyone like her. She was such a kind soul. Thank you, Danielle. You’ve done more for me than you know.

Love it when Lisa looks at the interviewer quizically and asks him with zero condescension, "Do you understand?" as she tries to explain the unexplainable which is the very quintessence of DCD music. 'It's very difficult to understand the nature of music and how it affects your influences and feelings," as Brendan continues on in that excellent insightful interview.

For my 44 years old I've listened to hundred(s) of bands . Some were perfect, some - talented, etc. But I have not found any band better than DCD that I first heard in my youth. In DCD the music becomes celestial, the essence unreachable for our minds. For sensitive people like me it's even not safe to get deeply into this music so as not to go crazy.

I also saw DCD on this tour in England (Birmingham August 1987) in a medium sized venue , and stood a few feet away from Lisa .One of the most magical evenings and gigs of my life. I also got to speak to Lisa after the gig , and she was really nice . I think the musical peak of this great band was 1985/1990 with coruscating albums like Spleen and Ideal , Within the realm of a dying sun and Aion.
