Dead Can Dance is brilliant only a certain amount of people can open their hearts and minds and understand thier Music not too many people can relate with this music I heard it in the 80s I found it unique and different and was able to feel it all through my mind and body

Wow, you nailed it. In 1992 a girl played the song "Fortune Presets Gifts not According to the Book" for me, and prefaced it with: You may not like it, it isn't for everyone. I was in tears at the end of it and have never looked back. Thy have been a staple in my life for over 30 years. I love them.

@@eyeless1963 Without the 1% of talent, it'd be nothing, but it's still 99% of work, you can have all the talent of the world, if you don't work A LOT, you won't make it... And go get singing lessons with Donatienne at the IRCAM, she'll tell you the same thing. I'm not a singer, well, even if I happened to sing in some of my former bands, but it's the same thing about every musical instrument, it's thousands and thousands of hours of practise, nobody can sing like this without serious practise.

I am spellbound. This is a very very good orchestration of the Dead Can Dance piece. Soloist's voice is superb. I think that the end should have been sung by men like in the original. But I take my hat off to Diego Navarro for bringing this piece to an orchestral setting. Well done to Diego and whoever the orchestrator is. Wonderful work.

Je connais tout Dead Can Dance par coeur … je n’ai écouté que ça pendant 5 ou 6 ans ! 😅… J’ai aussi l’oreille absolue comme nombreux musiciens … Après une petite minute d’écoute, on entend bien que la voix, le chant, sont complètement différent de ceux de Lisa. Maintenant, il faut bien sûr saluer cette performance car c’est très bien chanté. C’est un peu comme dans les années 80, on avait accusé Marillion d’être un plagiat de Genesis… Au final, Marillion s’avère est un groupe de Rock progressif fabuleux qui a son identité propre et qui je dirais est complémentaire à Genesis. Encore bravo à cet hommage envers Lisa et Brendan !
