Dead Can Dance nail it again . 4 A D what a label. Strange though it is my favourite bands , more than less we're 4 A D bands . Xmal Deutschland saw them first when I was eighteen , Cocteau's I look back now , their first Peel session I was like " What the ??? The Birthday party were my favouritists . I was probably about 15 when I got my hands on Junkyard. Thank you Ivo.

One of the most powerfully commanding and beautiful voices I've heard from an artist who is my "contemporary". Voices fail, but I think yours may have become stronger. Lovely cover of a forever cherished song. Thank you! ❤

Long afloat on shipless oceans I did all my best to smile 'Til your singing eyes and fingers Drew me loving to your isle And you sang Sail to me, sail to me Let me enfold you Here I am, here I am Waiting to hold you Did I dream, you dreamed about me? Were you here when I was full sail? Now my foolish boat is leaning Broken lovelorn on your rocks For you sing Touch me not, touch me not Come back tomorrow Oh, my heart Oh, my heart shies from the sorrow Well I'm as puzzled as the newborn child I'm as riddled as the tide Should I stand amid the breakers? Or should I lie with death my bride? Hear me sing Swim to me, swim to me Let me enfold you Here I am, here I am Waiting to hold you

3rd verse, 2nd line should be: Were you hare when I was fox? (rhymes with "Broken lovelorn on your rocks")

Original version has the lyric “I am puzzled as the oyster” this is a wonderful choice of strange. I don’t like the more conventional “newborn child” replacement as much but it’s still a phenomenal song.

Ah Brendan! I l really, really love your voice. Masculine, soaring, powerful, yet tender and mournful by turns. This is a wonderful performance.

Tim Buckley's song has haunted me for at least 20 years... Love to hear D.C.D render it so lovely too!!! (another favourite group of mine...) Almost like The Czars, (but John Grant's voice and slow arrangement carries so much power, pain and suffering...) This version was new to me and Oh I love it!!! But a notch more to my liking: The Czars kzbin.info/www/bejne/hGXUln-cqbZpZsUsi=wrFy4W00wO8ySEDp
