Jesus used parables for a reason, if he came right out and actually revealed "truth" to everyone, our minds couldn't handle it. We wouldn't have the vocabulary to describe it. This is how he delivered his message a thousand times over in the Bible. So, if you believe Jonathan has a relationship with God, that he uses his artistic gifts as a mouthpiece for Him, then are you sure you want to be questioning that? For all you know, this is how God is translating "truth" to the modern world.

For those who are wondering about this story, this is the interpretation: God sees his people (us) drowning in sin and chaos. We are all going to hell. Since he loves us so much, he gives us an escape clause. If we accept Jesus into our hearts and take on an eternity with him, we are saved. The widow quickly took this offer and obeyed/ followed the lifestyle God created for humanity. However, the rich man decided he had plenty of time before the world was destroyed, and "the end is near" warning God gave him was an exaggeration. He experienced many pleasures and strayed far from God. When the rapture came, the young widow was taken into the arms of God. However, the rich man was left behind in the insanity. He would later, which made God very sad, go to hell because he didn't listen. The portal is the entrance to Heaven (aka Jesus Christ). The cup stands for salvation. The widow drinks it right away, but the people in the diner never drink it at all, while the rich man holds on to it loosely, sipping on occasion, until it is too late to drink it. He is too preoccupied with saving himself to let God save him when the end comes.

If everyone made that choice then it wouldn't really be free will now would it. That's the POINT of us being here, to choose. For us to wish everyone made the same choice would be taking that away. It sucks, but there's nothing we can do. We have to accept everyone is allowed to make their own path, and most people aren't going to be going with us.

I love how Jonathan Thullin came together with his brother and Charmaine to create a theatrical way of telling the story of "The Valley of Dry Bones" in the Book of Ezekiel. It's beautiful to know and trust that our Sovereign and Loving God keeps all of His promises even to the point of raising the dead back to life so His children can go home. I pray the people of the US wake up in time to realize that God never breaks a promise. I pray we turn desparately to Him This breaks my heart.

i believe i heard this a long time ago, but the message is something that God wants to speak today.
@djhink184110 жыл бұрын
The message is perfect for those who don't believe and who are open to Jesus. I say this because it tells us that the only way to be saved is to listen and not wait too long. The Rich man ignored the King and waited too long to go back to the gate so he did not make it. The woman did however because she wasn't stubborn and listened so she received her ticket to heaven. I give this advice to all non believers never wait too long to come to know Jesus, right when you get the chance stop what you are currently doing talk to Jesus, come to know him and get your salvation. Side note once you get your salvation it can never be taken away no matter what you do. God Bless
@peterb503910 жыл бұрын
Excellent comment Dj except for the side note. That is not entirely true, Hebrews 10:26-39 makes that very clear. You cannot run off and live anyhow once you receive salvation. You are to begin the work of rightousness for which God has apprehended us otherwise you will not be saved in the end. God bless.
@djhink184110 жыл бұрын
That comment was actually from my brother lol but I still agree. Once you accept the eternal gift of Salvation it does not mean you are then allowed to do whatever you want and receive a free pass, but he is indeed correct. Salvation is not in our posession, and God does not have an eraser next to the lambs book of life. Once you obtain and accept your gift of salvation it will never be taken from you. If you stray from the word of God and his righteousness he has the right to cut your life short if you no longer bear fruit... but your salvation will never be stripped from you because in that moment you accept Jesus Christ as your savior, that is pure faith and wholehearted belief and dedication. That can never be undone, no matter what the act.

Anthony Jimison you need to get out your bible son and go have a look see at Matthew 13:1-23 Matthew 13:1-23New Living Translation (NLT) Parable of the Farmer Scattering Seed 13 Later that same day Jesus left the house and sat beside the lake. 2 A large crowd soon gathered around him, so he got into a boat. Then he sat there and taught as the people stood on the shore. 3 He told many stories in the form of parables, such as this one: “Listen! A farmer went out to plant some seeds. 4 As he scattered them across his field, some seeds fell on a footpath, and the birds came and ate them. 5 Other seeds fell on shallow soil with underlying rock. The seeds sprouted quickly because the soil was shallow. 6 But the plants soon wilted under the hot sun, and since they didn’t have deep roots, they died. 7 Other seeds fell among thorns that grew up and choked out the tender plants. 8 Still other seeds fell on fertile soil, and they produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had been planted! 9 Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand.” 10 His disciples came and asked him, “Why do you use parables when you talk to the people?” 11 He replied, “You are permitted to understand the secrets[a] of the Kingdom of Heaven, but others are not. 12 To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them. 13 That is why I use these parables, For they look, but they don’t really see. They hear, but they don’t really listen or understand. 14 This fulfills the prophecy of Isaiah that says, ‘When you hear what I say, you will not understand. When you see what I do, you will not comprehend. 15 For the hearts of these people are hardened, and their ears cannot hear, and they have closed their eyes- so their eyes cannot see, and their ears cannot hear, and their hearts cannot understand, and they cannot turn to me and let me heal them.’[b] 16 “But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear. 17 I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, but they didn’t see it. And they longed to hear what you hear, but they didn’t hear it. 18 “Now listen to the explanation of the parable about the farmer planting seeds: 19 The seed that fell on the footpath represents those who hear the message about the Kingdom and don’t understand it. Then the evil one comes and snatches away the seed that was planted in their hearts. 20 The seed on the rocky soil represents those who hear the message and immediately receive it with joy. 21 But since they don’t have deep roots, they don’t last long. They fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing God’s word. 22 The seed that fell among the thorns represents those who hear God’s word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life and the lure of wealth, so no fruit is produced. 23 The seed that fell on good soil represents those who truly hear and understand God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!” .....if u don't go out and preach the gospel and or feed the homeless and or help the less fortunate u become disobedient and therefore are in danger of losing salvation. Don't come tryin to rebuke me boy. U are not in a position to do so nor do u understand the kingdom gospel. Love all and teach the truth. Go on about your life blind till the next farmer plants a seed and maybe it will grow. Bless u boy

The location of this video is amazingly beautiful. The symbolism is powerful and sad at the same time. The love that binds people pales in comparison to the deep love God (the King) has for us. But sometimes we do just like the girl in the video; we watch the ones we love the most wonder away and try to save them when it’s too late. The man's choice determined his fate. Jesus is the tunnel (a bridge) to Heaven. When the world looks more rewarding than the kingdom remember this video.

This is an amazing way of showing our story as humans on earth. God loves us and has made a way to be with us for eternity, but it all depends on what we choose. If we choose to venture far from God we will be stuck in eternal darkness and when we want to change in the darkness it is too late. When we stay close to God we can spend an eternity with him. Who are you going to be, the women who stayed close to God, or the man who ventured on his own path? You think you can just pull it all together later? Well, you better hurry because life just sneaks up on you and it all ends in light or darkness for eternity.

One of the things I took away from this song was that we are to obey and most importantly God can make all things pure and alive. America and the world are dead and need brought back to life. Strikingly beautiful. I'm just in awe, and needed a box of tissues. Shared it with my family, and the same reaction. Beautiful, striking, and an AWESOME song!!
