I swear I LOVE Oteil like no other, I am one of his biggest fans! Love his voice, his playing, his playing history and the whole nine yards. He has a great family, I love his whole vibe tremendously! but damn I miss Phil laying those bombs up and down the fretboard. He was for sure Garcia on bass after 30 years of sharing the sage with the great master

I did not want to agree, but to quote Jason Isbell in a different context: "This Ain't It." I am sorry, but i have heard Phil's revolving bands capturing the vibe far more soulfully. Albeit without the commercial lights. I hope Bobby is amassing generational wealth; he deserves it.
