Kaleigh and Summer explore the Dead End Diner maze at LA Haunted Hayride in Griffith Park, CA.
An old 70's rest stop at the edge of town untouched by time has been used as a weary traveler tourist trap, literally. A series of establishments all work to trap and abduct patrons to be used as human meat in the local diner. Driven by the thirst for blood, the maniacal townsfolk have become more brazen and aggressive towards the travelers in this high intensity cat and mouse style attraction.

The theming of this one was weird. It started as a diner...then went to like a werewolf biker gang...and then to a pretty typical slaughter barn/farm theme. The overall set-pieces looked good and the scare actors were pretty solid though. We just did Howl o Scream at Busch Gardens Williamsburg and they had a really good diner themed maze that started you in the back alleys behind the diner, then through the meat freezer, the kitchen, the employee hallway, the diner itself, and then the city streets outside of the diner. It showed that a unified diner theme can work.

as one of the scare actors who controlled the giant pig animatronic, fair enough LMAO the theming was a lil whack. also the werewolves are frat bros!

So it starts off as a diner and then becomes an odd outdoor hay maze with a barn? 🤷🏻‍♂️. Strange theme to say the least! Great footage as always though, thanks for sharing!

@@willg8718 point well taken. I didn’t even consider that. The one scare actor even pointed the girls right into one with a Dead End sign. Guess I was over thinking things a bit! 🤪

Diner build at the front was awesome! The rest of the themeing was all over the place though, and a lot of dead space with nothing going on.

It was pretty decently themed playing on a dinner that feeds unknowing clients human, the beginning is the innocent looking dinner then as you leave out the back you end up in a deserted area where their victims are killed to later be fed to those at the diner

Can someone please explain to me how this is a diner? I haven't been to Haunted Hayride so I'm not up to date with the whole "Midnight Falls" thing. Is the rest of the maze parts of the back story? I'm a bit lost.

The backstory is the town tries to murder people for meat to use in the diner. So even though we escape the diner pretty quickly the townsfolk are still trying to murder us.
