Dead fan motor - 76 MGB

Investigating a dead fan motor and installing a new replacement.
Sounds pretty simple, but nobody here has an OEM replacement for this motor... SO!.. Bodging it has to work....
I cant let this go much longer because I really don't want to risk the Engine over heating on me.

The hole in the radiator is where the fan switch is in inserted with a rubber grommet, the fan should not come on with the ignition someone has bypassed the fan switch usually because the engine was and still will overheat unless the switch is bypassed and the fans run continually.
