You have to gravity feed the carb.

I did.

@tcfinds you really didn't. I'm just sayin, you had the can of fuel setting upright with the hose stuck in the top, with there is no fuel pump it was sucking fuel, try a container you can turn upside down so the hose comes out the bottom. That way the fuel gets to the carb. Just sayin..

what you didn’t see off camera is I sucked the line and got it flowing, so it had gravity fuel for DAYS

This was time well spent. Often in my traversing East Texas Piney Woods oil tops thru the southern tip of the great Ouachita Mountain foothills I come upon such once fine examples of small acreage homestead machinery and ask myself the question “is that where she last ran & needs little to be put back in service” or “is it lawn art put there to add iron to the soil to benefit the flower blossoms?” When I pull in such driveways, being a “vintage iron collector” such as yourself I oft inquire of the resident, “dat run orn izit yard art?” (I put pen to parchment with esteemed elegance. Meez yak howsumever’n meez wanna…🤪) Now when folks ask you about that Cub, you’ve a definite answer for their inquiries. 👍

Take it from a 60 year old mechanic with 42 years of experience, wear some protective gloves. Timing order? With rebuilt carb you might should have had fuel delivery. Was it sucking too much air?

It needs a condenser the condenser is bad the it will run put more effort into that that type of motor will run on low compression
