I think moving forwards this is to be expected. We will probably never experience the same visual fidelity jump as it was going from like SEGA to PS1 or PS1 to PS2. Todays game can already look photo-realistic, the WOW factor is not going to be as impressive as it was back then when everything was pretty much low poly one sided objects.

Very impressive that they were able to keep most of the lighting and reflections with the biggest difference being the vegetation swaying in the wind which helps it feel more real, other than that the main drawback being load times. Great job devs! Was worried about PS4/pro version being gimped.

Literally the only notable difference i see visually is that the trees don't move on last gen, which is such a minor thing. Everything else is virtually identical. The frame difference is painful but that's expected. I really hope i can get a PS5 this year

Feel bad that you'll have to be in static areas. The dynamic trees and foliage brings the area to life. But that's PS4 for you, for 10 year old hardware. Unfortunately, the next gen graphics aren't major. Thanks to old gen ports. PS5 looks the sharpest/crisp out of ALL the consoles. Interesting. Also I love the fact the One X still brings 1440p over the Series S and even the Pro, I hope Microsoft learn a lesson from it. I remember the 1st Dead Island game. It was so fun but it was equally unplayable. Nothing but bugs and constant crashes. I remember you couldn't play that game longer than an hour without a crash. Hopefully that won'r be the same case here because I do wanna get it.

From other reviews, most noted minor bugs that didn't affect gameplay, so bugs that would affect cutscenes and such. But for gameplay wise they didn't mention crashing. So do with that as you will.
