Hey folks, I'm seeing some upset comments about me censoring some gore in this video. As someone who has been making Dead Island videos for a decade, I'm not happy about it either. KZbin's rules have gotten stricter and everyone's Dead Island 2 videos are either getting age restricted or demonetized. All of my most viewed videos are age restricted or demonetized (e.g. Dying Light weapons guide) and even last year, KZbin age restricted some videos and even straight up deleted one, only to reverse those decisions months later because "oops it was a mistake". I never got compensated for those mistakes. At this point, I'm just playing it safe. You'll see other content creators doing the same. If there isn't an in-game gore filter, big streamers may not even touch this game. It sucks, because the gore is the best part. Regardless, thanks for your support ❤

If zombie parts do require cutting off limbs, it would be cool if it also covered other damage types, e.g. You might require Zombie Brain Mush, which requires using a blunt weapon to cave in and thus mash their brains. Similarly some require parts to be intact on death and so guns may be useful to avoid hitting the right part, like killing a suicide enemy without it detonating by shooting it in the head/limbs instead.

[Infected Tier] Runners: These are the people who I believe are recently infected (just like the Infected or Viral zombies from Dead Island 1/Dying Light 1 & 2). I am going to enjoy watching them fall at my feet. They kinda remind me of the 28 Days/Weeks Later movies or the 2004 remake of George A. Romero's Dawn of the Dead by Zack Snyder. These Infected types of zombies earn from me a 10/10 Walkers: Do you really need me to say anything about them? They're the usual cliche zombie we've always seen, but their presence in this game is fine. They remind me of the zombies from The Dead: A Ford Brothers film. (You thought I was about to say The Walking Dead? No, I am not.) These zombies get from me a rating of 8/10 Shamblers: Same deal as the Walkers, although they appear to be more fragile and falling apart. But as I said with the Walkers, Leftovers are fine with me. They remind me of the undead in Return of the Living Dead (because that was the only film I saw where zombies are actual skeletons. There's probably more, but I don't know). These zombies get a rating of 7/10 [Apex Tier] Crushers: Dambuster Studios, you really didn't have to make this zombie so damn attractive, but you did, and that's okay. I'd love to get a good view of it before I take it down. Those pecs....Mmh! These hot and heavy zombies remind me of The Tank from Left 4 Dead (Maybe we can say that he is the beginning stage of The Tank? Anyone?) These one of a kind hunks get a 10/10 Screamers: Screaming does not make your problems go away. That's what these things seem to think at least. I'd rather not have to deal with them, but if I do, then I am going to silence them forever. They remind me of the jawless walkers from The Walking Dead (because their jaw is gone, looking like the zombies being led around by Michonne). Anyway, these get a rating of 8/10 Slobbers: Every time an outbreak of zombies occurs, there has to be at least one type that can be a ranged combatant. These fast-food workers (well, they look like it. They would have made great workers at an Ice Cream place when they were human) will spit acidic vomit that will burn you hotter then fire. These nasty buggers remind me of the Boomer from Left 4 Dead. Because their a ranged zombie, they get a 7/10 from me. [Variant Types] Spiky Runners: I love Runners to the max...but these ones? I'm not sure whether I like them or hate them. Apparently, they had acquired broken glass or barbed wire while they pursued survivors, almost looking like an Evolved Runner. I have no idea what they remind me of, but I can still give you my rating for them; A 9/10 Burning Crushers: As if these hunks weren't hot enough already. Although I cannot stare at them for long because I would be set ablaze, I am thoroughly confident that I can put out those flames before I eliminate them. No reminders, i'm afraid. But thanks to the flames these fiery thugs (See what I did there? :3) have, I am going to rate them a 8/10 Grenadier Walkers: These military soldiers had a lot of explosive toys before their infection, now they just wait until someone sets them off and then BOOM! These guys can take out a horde if you are smart enough to trigger them amidst a group of zombies. These guys remind me of the Bombers from World War Z (though these guys are a lot nicer in my eyes). A real blast from the other side, these guys deserve the rating of 9/10

Keep on your toes unless you want them cut off. P.S (if you don't like Pennywise or spiders be Nickel-smart and veer away from these guys). 10/10 design, gameplay and introduction are amazing. I understand the sentiment that it would be more interesting to have recently infected zombies of various body types but the general idea is that these are the survivors that were very difficult to catch because they are so much more fit and capable of eluding the undead. It made less sense in the first game and dying light seeing as those games were set during the initial outbreaks, but for dead island 2 and dying light 2, given the physical demands of survival compounded by food scarcity its fitting if you consider that recently infected individuals found outside of safe zones were likely scavengers who would probably have been in peak shape for fight or flight scenarios, but even peak physical shape can't help when your lucks run dry.

the most disappointing part of dying light 2 compared to 1 was the toned down zombie combat (ragdoll physics / limb damage, etc...) as long as Dead Island 2 has very visceral zombie combat (which it looks like it has) everything else in this kind of game follows from that.

Can anybody tell me if they fixed the lethargic movement? You know how in riptide the player character couldn't walk past a door threshold without having to jump, or have to jump over things a toddler could step over, or the jump attack stun locking you for up to 30 sec so enemies get a free kill on you at full health, is there still a delay on running, cars starting? Or like running over zombies but the walk over the top of the truck completely unharmed? Have they fixed the random invisible zombie that spawns directly behind you even if you cleared the area and got your back up against a wall? You know the one you can't see with a 360 spin but is right in front of you after your downed ? I'm not spending 70 buck for more unfinished trash. Is there a physics engine this time or is it still like 90lb purna weighs more than Gilbert grapes mom?
