Love this, I have heard of the group for years, but not yet made a race....this all makes sense, Jason is a VA boy, so am I...I got to get down there! This video got recommended to me when it came out, and because of it I’m currently signed up and training for this year’s race. I have only ran halves (no full), and since I was turning 50 this year (today to be exact) you gave me idea of doing a 50k at 50. To be a high school kid able to decide for himself that he loves skateboarding and loves to run in the woods and will do both unless some myopic adult decides he can't is to be a lucky high school kid. That's rare.
@TrailRunningZen3 жыл бұрын
You're right, his mother was super supportive, there were a lot of stories he told about his childhood that didn't make the final cut about how his parents choose vacation spots that would give him a great place to skate. On the flipside Jason's the type of guy that probably would've just did his own thing in spite of myopic adults, lol

They told me they don't ship to Taos, an' I was pissed for like a day cause they got Desert Fog and Voodoo Ranger at the Supersave, instead. Also weed is legal in New Mexico now. But that was fun to watch. Sorry about your friend. That's really sad. A good friend of my brother had gotten hit by a car shortly before I left Texas. But you tell all those people with a thicker build that I know how hard it is to run with that extra weight on 'cause I train with extra weight sometimes and I get all worked up like "I CAN'T DO DIS!!!", too. Everybody got they own pace. Send a shout out to the Filling Station Tap Room in SATX if you ever there. Tejas Trails is weird fo' real.
