Dead Lawn Mower Battery - Best Battery Charger for the Job

So it says you can charge lawm mower battery with 10 amps or less. Isnt 10 too high? Wont that overheat battery? What is the best to do?

Hi @craigwagner327 10 amps is not to high for a 12 volt battery but it will charge it faster, usually in an hour. If your battery charger doesn't have an auto shutoff feature and you leave it on several hours it will overcharge and possibly overheat the battery. I'm not sure if 2amps is better than 10amps. I usually pick my 2amp charger because it shuts off automatically and in my head "low and slow" seems gentler on the battery. I still use 10amps on occasion when I'm in a hurry. Hope that helps

Correct, I think slow is better if you have the time.

Usually takes 6-7 hours on 2 amps.
