This book as transformed my life dramatically .. long story .... anyway , there is a "living" version of the Bardo Thodol from Timothy Leary and it was used in the 1960's and afterward to be used for guidance , for LSD user's .. it is called .. The Psychedelic Experience: A Manual Based on the Tibetan Book of the Dead ..

Wow! Judging by this video, the Bardo Thodol very closely mirrors the descriptions of their experiences by many people who have been resuscitated after being clinically dead (Near Death Experiencers)! They describe an initial sense of floating and weightlessness, often followed by a period in a dark and distressing realm, which only disappears when they realise that this dark realm is a creation of their own imagination and expectations. Next, they become aware of an intense white light, which they realise is consciousness, or the Creator of the universe, and they may see a spiritual Master, such as Jesus or Buddha, and they have an review of their life... This is a very well put together video. Are the video clips AI animation? They look impressive...

Hey Colin, thank you for the comment. Yeah the video is made with animated AI images. Regarding the Bardo Thodol, what you're saying is right on point. It's fascinating to see that a book from 1300 years ago describes exactly the same experiences we hear about today when people have near death experiences. There's a second part to this video, a case that happened in the early 2000's and has a university paper written about it. Fascinating stuff...

If you look into auric fields you'll get a clue on how the human body is actually formed of many different bodies and most of them are non-physical. The non-physical body is weightless. I think it's the astral body that travels after death to continue the soul's journey, since the astral body also travels during dreams, which people experience during NDE.

I vividly remembered the dark and distressing realm... A place of hopelessness and dispair, endless free fall ... Dreamt this when I was a child especially during sickness
Reincarnation in Buddhism is not you die and come back as something else. You reincarnate everyday when you act out on the things that cause inner conflict and you don’t maintain samadhi. Mindfulness is not one pointed concentration in Buddhism ither it is timbering how to maintain samatha and vispassina the two are separate words but intertwined vispassina is the understanding on how to remain in a calm state of samatha. Sanskrit is one of the hardest languages to understand beythey have words that describe concepts we don’t have in the west. Also Tibetan Buddhism is not Buddhism it’s a fusion of recycled Hinduism with the Bon tradition which is animism and shamanism which grows out of the animistic view that’s not a religion. Other then that Tibetan Buddhism is just a religious oligarchy like the church Mao was right about what was going on in Tibet now how he went about correcting that was down right wrong. Iam not a fan of Buddhism and don’t even get me started with zen especially when it’s fused with Japanese culture. Tumo is a science of taking the force that goes out to create life and turning it inward to create inner power a symbiotic relationship with the forces of nature and ultimately a new body of sorts the Tibetans call Jalu or Jalas in Taoism it is called a Yu ren or jade person . That is all a science of consciousness not a religion however it tends to be taken over by religion. What the Buddha actually taught unsurprisingly has nothing to do with Buddhism in ither of the traditions. That includes thai traditions as well. They like to think there the closest to the original Buddha but these monks separate vispassina from samatha. Yea I really really am not a fan of Buddhism.
