How precious!! That1s why we need to meditate to train our minds in residing in higher dimensions, so when we die we are taken to the light and love of the higher souls. Muito obrigada, from Brazil!

Appreciate what is important now while we are still alive. All of the Bardos that Ringu Tulku Rinpoche spoke of happen in the now. Maybe the Bardos happen one after the other, but it is always in the present moment that anything can be experienced. (Espero que isso ajude.)

Wonderfull explanation. If one realizes clear bliss enlightenment during the bardo of life, how does it effect the later bardos ?

I know suicide is a sin Brings nothing but bad Right? So why are countries offering assisted suicide to the mentally Ill and the homeless Does that equal murder? Is this human realm we are in a hell realm? If I was in a hell realm, how would I know it?
@Tiozão-Líber-MGTOW-RedPiLL Жыл бұрын
The state of hell in the 3000 worlds, is the state where i manifest my nature in a harm way for me and for others, where i cause any type of damage for me and for others. Okay, so imagine that the half and 1 percent of the whole world manifests this nature: So we're in a kind of hell, unfortunately 🫤

Who said it's a sin? If some kind of "god" determines what is sin, if that god is all-knowing, would they not understand the pain a person experienced that lead them to do that? I have nothing but compassion and love for anyone who takes their own life. Would never dream of saying they deserve some kind of punishment. If I can see it that way, how could a perfect all-knowing god not be able to see that?

What countries offer suicide to the mentally ill? Never heard of such a thing - maybe for people who are terminally ill.

Life is karma. When someone suicide..he or she is avoid from their lesson.. its not a good student. But if goverment provise suicide service, people who know dhamma should not to take it. But if you want to en your life..why you dont give ur life for others like..service others..work for public, give smile to others..etc.

Because yall are obsessed with materialism. Thats the sign of western countries. In eastern countries who practice spirituality know from there shared experiences what it is life and what's beyond that. That's why japnese people have usually happier and longer life.

My simple question is, how does consciousness think? Does it have a brain? How do you navigate your way in death. How do you see in death, atleast your brain works during sleep and dreams but not in death.
@studybuddhismАй бұрын
This is a great question! Firstly, we need to understand what consciousness is. It is a formless, non-material continuum that perceives, experiences, and engages with phenomena. It doesn’t inherently “think” in the way we understand conceptual thought; rather, thinking arises as an interplay between the mental consciousness and the conceptual imprints stored in the mind. While we are alive, the brain acts as a mediator or tool that shapes how consciousness manifests. However, consciousness itself is not dependent on the brain-it exists independently as a continuum of mental clarity and knowing. The brain ceases at death, but consciousness continues. In the intermediate state, which we call the bardo, consciousness is no longer tethered to the body and brain. Navigation through the bardo is influenced by our karmic imprints-habitual tendencies and actions from previous lives-and the mental states we cultivated while alive. These karmic forces and habitual perceptions determine the experiences and the type of rebirth that follows. Advanced practitioners may use their awareness during the dying process to guide their consciousness skillfully, recognizing the bardo appearances as projections of their own mind rather than reacting with fear or attachment. In the bardo, the mind doesn’t require the physical mechanisms of the brain or sensory organs. Perception at this stage is entirely mental, similar to lucid dreaming but more vivid and unrestricted. The mind creates its own appearances based on karmic seeds, like a dream arising from latent mental impressions. While in life, the brain and senses filter and limit perception; in death, these filters are gone, allowing the mind to perceive directly and subtly. This is why it is so important to prepare for death through practicing ethical behavior and cultivating compassion and wisdom. By familiarizing ourselves with the nature of the mind and working to purify our destructive habits, we can create the causes for positive outcomes during and after the dying process. Advanced practitioners may even use death as an opportunity to attain liberation by recognizing the nature of mind directly!
