Aldo Ramirez, Despite not being mentioned in RDR directly by John, He does kind of Hint at Arthur as a part of his Youth and Outlaw Past. They most likely just took the Same Coat Jack and John wore and tailored them to Arthur having worn em first in RDR2. It's not like it wasn't an Uncommon thing back then, Duster Coats/Rawhide Leather Vests etc.

This song relates to the entire red dead franchise if you think about it, red Harlow was the first protagonist to carry his deceased father's pistol, then John Marston to Jack, as well as Arthur Morgan's weapons technically passed down to John, happens in all 3 games, all playable characters receive dead men's guns

I've had RDR1 for about 8-9 years, and during all of my playthroughs I've never been able to play John as Low Honor. How hard he worked to make a better life for himself and his family, knowing all he ever did was wrong, and trying to make amends for it, I could never bring myself to make him act dishonorably. He fought hard for his redemption and earned it far more than any other character I've ever seen.

Live by the gun, die by the gun. John knew this day would come...every gunfighter knows his day will soon come. Because people never forget and least forgive. All I was glad in the end, sort of bittersweet, is he managed to rescue what he worked so hard and even died for: his family. No man can't die with such joy as knowing his family will survive him. Every family man knows such a zeal...I hope.

I've never play Red Dead Redemption (1) but this is a very sad scene. I like better than Arthur's in the sense that it's more of a "Let's remember the good things we did and the good times we had" song instead of Arthur's which is more like "I'm dying. I've learned the rights and wrongs. Now it's time to go home" Arthur's is more emotional in the sense that the day is done and it's time to go home. While John is more of a reminisce on his life as an outlaw, you know?

Rockstar games did this game damn good. so many people loved john marston's character and thats enough said. not only game play but the story line was what we all got hooked on to. it kept our attention and in the end we cared about this character so much that it actually upset many when he was killed. -but hear this. "he went out like a champ (not a coward) and in the end his boy got his on that piece of shit law man. (i shot his deputy in the face and five others in dead eye before they unloaded on john)

I have never cried over a game character...EVER, but John Marston's death made me cry like a baby...I cried over him for 2 days on and off, and then I decided to make a character where I would stop progressing at 2 missions before he ends up on the farm. I've kept him alive, and I complete events and experience things with him every day. I jus cannot bring myself to let him die.. THAT'S the way games should be.

What if.......Morgan is the Guy who trained John's son for having revenge? It would set up for a Massive Red Dead 3 for Ps5 and Xbox 2. Just my theory
