0:12 already started it with my favorite scene from the witcher 3, i love that emotional side of Geralt, no amount of potions and mutagens were enough to strip him of his humanity, and all thanks to the exceptional love he has for Yen and Ciri, i like how both him and yen just consider themselves father and mother to Ciri even though they didn't give birth to her since witchers can't reproduce, but when you see the way he held her, and how Yen can't rest her eyes without Ciri, it shows how they not only consider her a their daughter but they somehow fully convinced each other that she is their daughter regardless of anything else... and all this story beces even better when you understand the things they went through before they met each other, Geralt's life was tasteless before he met them, Yen was hopeless, and ciri had idea what life is and why people around her even exist because she was yet to know what love is. I love the witcher, it's not all about swords and mosters, it's also about finding love and finding those people who makes your life meaningful.

Non gamers don't know what they're missing out on, it saddens me to know a lot of people still think video games are still in that pac man or donkey kong phase where it's just a fun time waster for kids; but games have evolved into a broad medium of storytelling and world building in ways movies or books wish they could make their audience connect to.
@sketchflix64253 жыл бұрын
Well said.
@Gamer360463 жыл бұрын
Video games, Books, and movies are all similar in at least one way, they're ways to waste time. At the end of the day, none of it is real, and yeah, it's just a video game. Just like other mediums of story telling, they merely draw you into the story, rather than have you directly participate in it. Sure, you're playing a game, but what you're really doing is just playing a story already written out for you. Think of it as like a more interactive tour. That's why I say to people that it's just a game. While it can make us feel emotions at the time of seeing a story that we're invested in, at the end of the day nothing you just played is worth being mad about, or worth being sad, happy, or whatever after the point of playing, because none of it is real, and it doesn't matter. This isn't referring to the quality of the story, but just the emotional content of the story itself. If a character dies, sure it's sad, but you're of course not going to mourn, it isn't a real person. You can just restart the game and play again, with all the consequences reversed.
@matteoziegler76323 жыл бұрын
yeah to bad that the loud majority of so called gamers arent the type of people who see videogames as an medium for varied story telling

Number 15: Burger King foot lettuce. The last thing you'd want in your Burger King Burger is someone's foot fungus. But as it turns out, that might be what you get. A 4channer uploaded a photo anonymously to the site showcasing his feet in a plastic bin of lettuce with the statement 'This is the lettuce you eat at Burger King.' Admittedly, he had shoes on. But that's even worse. The post went live at 11:38 PM on July 16, and a mere 20 minutes later, the Burger King in question was alerted to the rogue employee. At least, I hope he's rogue. How did it happen? Well, the BK employee hadn't removed the Exif data from the uploaded photo, which suggested the culprit was somewhere in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. This was at 11:47. Three Minutes later at 11:50, Burger King branch address was posted with wishes of happy unemployment. Five minutes later, the news station was contacted by another 4channer. And three minutes later, at 11:58, a link was posted: BK's 'Tell Us About Us' online form. The foot photo, otherwise known as Exhibit A, was attached. Cleveland Scene Magazine contacted the BK in question the next day. When questioned, the breakfast shift manager said 'Oh, I know who that is. He's getting fired.' Mystery solved, by 4chan. Now we can all go back to eating our fast food in peace.

This is the first time I have seen a Gears of War scene in these types of videos. Let me tell you that shit hurts bro. I loved those games and hearing Marcus yell Dom's name while he is talking to his dead wife just breaks you, by far one of the most realistic voice acted scenes ever. Most of these scenes you know the actor isn't acting, and I think that's why it gets so close to home. Well played sir, well played.

I work in a video game store. One day during the run up to Christmas I was putting some stock out on the shop floor, and this family with two kids begins to look at some games near where I was working. The husband is super enthuiastic and discussing with his wife about all these games they could get their kids for Christmas and how happy it would make them. This poor man's wife was considerably less positive. She says, loudly, "Oh no! I don't want them to spend all day on "idiot boxes!"". The reason I pointed out that she said it loudly, and so smugly, was because I swear to this day she was trying to inderectly throw shade at me and other staff, as if her way of having fun was oh so superior to ours. I didn't say anything to her because I quite like getting paid and having a job. However, to this day wish I could've. I wish she could just see this video, and then try and justify how these worlds that game developers create are any less of a masterpiece than her favourite movies. TL;DR - Fuck Karens, all my homies hate Karens!

I try not to play games as much anymore because to an extent I don't want to be at the end of my life and reflect back thinking I've spent most my life playing vidya but the stories these games tell me and the lessons they've taught me made me the man I am today Arthur Morgan's and John Marstons story in particular really showed me on what it is to be a good person ironically and try to live life the best you can because it can all end both suddenly and we all aren't gonna be young for long. We're all gonna get sick and die. Anyway the point I was trying to say is these games might be a waste of time if it's abused in my opinion I've gone through that and wasted my teens. But in the right balance these games will take you on a journey and will teach you alot about well life and you might take some good characteristics from our favorite characters and apply them to real life. Also the stories are super fucking good trumps tv and movie writing no show or movie has moved me more than vidya stories hell cod mw3 soaps death had me more cut than some of my favorite movie death scenes. Any way I won't disturb ya.
