The best thing about this game is that even a total loss still tells a memorable and unique story, albeit one with a grim end. Well, the *actual* best thing is recruiting Sparky the stunt dog and decking him out with guns and survival gear to create the ultimate survivor, but the game's dynamic storytelling is a close second. I very rarely play using hidden objectives and traitors - the game's already tough enough to win, and a member of my regular gaming group is deeply averse to hidden roles and accusation mechanics. It was neat to have this chance to watch the betrayal mechanics in full swing for a change; well played by everyone onboard.

this game seems familiar to me, my buddies used to get together and play some board games i remember the zombies and i think it was winter one of the mechanics was leadership and a dog had higher leadership than at least 1 person which was hilarious lol

Honestly, when you have some sort of traitor in a situation like a zombie apocalypse, it just doesn't make sense to me. Everybody needs to work together to survive and often those traitor characters are meant to seem like some sort of mastermind yet they appparently can't comprehend the fact that by betraying and killing everybody, you're just lowering your own chances of survival.

That does make sense, but it’s a trait that does crop in a small percentage of people. We’ve just had a worldwide example of that with a global pandemic that could have been eradicated if everyone worked together.

There are always people like that. We saw it with the Pandemic. And there's assholes who only care about their life in the short term regardless of what happens. Group survival isn't the only method that can work.
