Having PTSD from the first game, Coming back to the Ishimura was like entering a Haunted house. Scary.

This is the only game where I had to set down the controller and not touch my PS3 for a week straight when I saw it. PTSD is a real thing with these games. I’ve never stopped watching a horror movie or stopped playing a horror game EXCEPT for this one. Definitely on my top 10 games of all time (along with the first one). If only they kept the steam going when making DS3.

One thing I liked about this sequence is how they're trying to "clean up" the Ishimura in more ways than one. Not only are they trying to fix and clear the ship of all the blood, growth, and alien infection, but they also publicly released a statement claiming it was a terrorist attack to try to cover up the disaster.

"Stick around. I'm full of bad ideas" That is probably the most engineer thing to say

What makes this part genius, is that the whole time you aboard the ship there were no necromorphs until Ellie told they were coming. You’re own paranoia put you on the edge, when there was no danger at all.

This was definitely one of the biggest highlights of Dead Space 2, in the first game you're on this dead ship the whole time trying to survive and get the hell off it, and once you do you think it's over and you've seen the last of the Ishimura. Only to get a complete curve ball thrown at you with this game when you find that not only is the ship still back and in tact, you're forced to go back on it and relive your worst nightmares, what a great twist. It makes me so happy that the remake of the first game was able to recapture the terror, isolation, and paranoia the original had.

@@yvn_youngdexter2741 Yep for sure, my favorite part is that Isaac actually talks in this game and is showing off his knowledge and skills as an engineer since he gives himself most of the objectives.

@@MegamanZXOmega woke space remakes adds nothing to isaacs character, only takes away. In og isaac always looks over his shoulder (which would be extremely realistic in that situation) it simply doesn’t happen in the remake. They also added gender neutral bathrooms but no extra info or backstory behind the crazy scientists or even issac and Nicole. If u take away the better graphics and lighting there’s Zero reason this game should’ve been remade.
@MegamanZXOmega Жыл бұрын
@@KevinLopez-pu7ll Clearly you didn't actually play it, cause I did. It DID add to Isaac and Nicole, as it had Isaac actually show off his engineering skills and knowledge, show us Nicole doing stuff during the Necromorph outbreak, and giving us more info on Isaac and Nicole's backstory. And oh BOO HOO, a minor and very hardly noticable detail that no one will ever see cause the hallways are too damn dark makes the game woke when there's nothing in the actual story that makes it woke at all. I hate woke shit, but the Dead Space remake is anything but woke, and it's a very amazing game and much better than the original in every way, now how about you go outside and touch some grass instead of hopping on internet bandwagons.
@KevinLopez-pu7ll Жыл бұрын
@@MegamanZXOmega there’s nothing more woke than a gender neutral bathrooms. Also nope, it adds nothing unlike the final fantasy vii remake which was a ACTUAL remake. The fact a game this irrelevant that was made for sadistic losers like you got a remake shockingly proofs how bad the state of gaming is in. The gameplay is extremely repetitive. It might not be a movie like gow ragnarok but it’s still a walking simulator. Many of the characters die extremely stupid deaths like running to a window to ask u for help while the door is literally right next to them and is open then a enemy rips them to shreds. If u support this u are a loser.

The part with ultra violet lights, where you can see the areas permanently stained with blood, is such a haunting sequence since it reinforces how the horrific history of the Ishimura will always be carved in the ship as long as it's still in one piece.

One of the most memorable moments in the franchise for me. I swear I could feel the PTSD that Isaac had and maybe a little bit of my own because I played the first one at a pretty young age, and it scared the sh#t out of me. That was definitely the Plan that the Doctor Kyne had in mind! I mean the dude was much more Level Headed and Sane, even if his own sanity was starting to slip. He at least wanted to Keep Humanity away from the rest of the Markers. Survival was his goal. It just sucks that both he and Isaac were betrayed by someone they thought they could trust. But honestly. It just goes to show that Unitology is cursed.
