at one point in the video, when kip is comparing necromorphs to the flesh that hates, someone in the chat says "they are different because the flesh that hates can only be killed with fire, but lots of things can kill necromorphs." (or something similar) I would like to clarify that that's false. Necromorphs are never truly killed, only incapacitated, however there are 2 ways to definitively kill a necromorph. The first way is to destroy the marker. Destroying the marker will render all converted biomass inert, effectively killing all the necromorphs. The second way is to burn them until no biomass remains, to use fire to completely destroy the cells and reduce them to ash, till nothing but carbon is left. And actually (nerd alert) the fact that you never truly kill a necromorph, only incapacitate it, provides several canon reasons in the lore for certain game mechanics. The reason provided for the bodies of "killed" necromorphs disappearing after some time is that their biomass was broken down and repurposed by the marker as the corruption or bigger necromorphs, which leads me to the next mechanic. The variety of necromorphs and the difficulty increasing as the game goes on is because "killed" necromorphs are combined and fused by the marker to create the larger, stronger, and more specialized necromorphs. It's no coincidence that you don't encounter any brutes or bigger before getting to the bridge in Dead Space 1, the brutes just weren't fully formed before then. It's also why necromorph infestations are so hard to stop, resisting only leads to more powerful necromorphs being formed and speeds up the spread of corruption. (I am a little obsessed with dead space lore if you couldn't tell.)

There's a reason I play the game annually on stream, it's incredibly deep.

We love the SCP references with the flesh that hates. I love the funny sarkite flesh-disease, but the necromorph plauge & the marker are infinitely more insidious.

I believe the Guardian, both versions, should be purged with holy hell fire and some extra just for good measure
