Man after playing this game 13-14 years ago. This remake made me nostalgic for when horror games were actually scary and well designed for its time. Even though I already played the game I was still getting surprisingly jump scared lol

This was the scariest game I played when I was younger. The necromorphs were fast and terrifying, the lighting was perfect use of light and shadows, but the audio was what made it special. Playing this at night in the dark with headphones on made you feel like you were right there behind Isaac. The noise of the creatures, ship creaks and groans and everything echoing off the walls made you not want to go into that next room. But we did, didn't we. Now the visuals match the audio.

They have changed the mechanics to where the limbs you shoot off have layers like armor, then flesh, then bone. they break off after you shoot them enough times per level. this was explained in the trailers and gameplay shoots.

Hollow you can return to the earlier levels of the ship once you get higher clearance unlike the original so during or off stream you should return to those levels when you get higher clearance.
