its wild that isaac's voice lines are actually affected by his exertion, like if you run a lot his voice sounds tired and he breathes heavier, and if he was damaged his heart rate actually spikes causing him to say the lines with a twinge of pain. Phenomenal immersion

I agree but I will always miss silent and quiet Isaac in dead space 1 OG. It worked perfectly. They completely needed to give him more personality and voice lines in number 2 but his silence in number 1 added so much to the atmosphere of the game. Much like how in Halo 1 MC said almost nothing then in Halo 2 he had full lines ever cinematic. They both fit perfectly for the games settings.

I didn't like the voice, it didn't feel right for Isaac's character. Terror under the helmet, but dead silence as he fights to survive. I do have to admit though, it's really immersive.

What i really like about the remake is that whenever Isaac is injured, out of breath, or sees something horrifying his tone of voice adapts to what he’s feeling. When you’re injured and talking to Hammond or Daniels, he grunts in pain mid sentence. Extremely amazing details on the game and voice acting!

I can only imagine the pain that is localization for this game. tho it def should be a standard. AAA studios got more than enough resources to do things like this, and they should, it's what sets them apart from indie after all (which, all things considered, is pretty much doing everything current AAA is doing but better)

My late brother and I used to play Dead Space together, late at night in his room. He was playing, I was his „morale support“, so that he wouldn’t be the only one scared and screaming. I never new, that „Twinkle Twinkle little star“ could be so terrifying. Watching Mark play the Remake feels like being back in my brothers room, cracking bad jokes to lift the tension and still jumping at every tiny noise - no matter whether in game or just our dog scratching at the door (that one almost gave us a heart attack). Thank you Mark ❤

For those who are curious about Nicole’s appearance I want you to understand, Issac is nearly 50, and Nicole is nearly 40. So her more “aged” appearance in this makes more sense, what’s more is she’s also in an incredible amount of stress in her log as she’s in the middle of a necro outbreak so. Also stasis in this world does in fact stall the aging process as we find out in dead space two after Issac was released from his restrains on the Sprawl.

Gunner deserved it, his voice acting for Isaac was next level. We all only got to know Issac through Gunner, having that change would be like replacing Johnny Depp as his role as Jack Sparrow. You can’t have a different Jack everyone knows him by his mannerism, and his appearance if you change the person behind that it wouldn’t have the same feeling behind it. The same can be said for Gunner and Issac Clarke.

You may have this game memorized but they took that into account when making this remake. According to all the articles mentioning remake differences in this game, the entire layout of the ship is modified. Not changed just more zigzags and corridors. Ontop of that the game now has side quests to keep the player busy instead and exploring the ship instead of just 1 main quest and logs and texts so you will be busy for awhile. And to top it off they added new objectives and new rooms to the main objective. So yes you may have alot of it memorized but it will still "revert your expectations" and it will be a whole new game again.

I've been playing, I know the entire game by heart, played through it 13 times over the years. They absolutely randomized Necro encounters. There are still scripted ones that I know from the original down to the second, BUT that only makes the random hoard of 6 necros all at once in a supposedly "safe" area a few minutes later hit harder because I relied too much on my memory!

Mark’s dead space series was one of the first I ever watched on his channel, it’s good to see him revisiting a classic of his time.

man, revisiting this makes me think more than ever how cool of a dark ride this intro would make

I doubt you will see this comment, but if you do...Just wish to say, its really lovely to see you playing an old classic, I vaguely recall watching you before...Playing it myself at the moment, really loving the improvements so far to Environment, weapon design, atmosphere and audio. I think they even did a great job on the script changes and voice acting...It also seems that you can backtrack anywhere you like, and the Necromorphs hunt you down for it too!...Anyway...Point is I think your in for a real treat with this one. I genuinely hope you take the time to enjoy it at your own pace, and let your viewers "deal with it"...Im taking my time at least, Full audio, letting the paranoia do the rest...Heh...anyway, just hope you really take the time to really get immersed in this one...Enjoy regardless and take care.

@Zealous Pug Considering how many comments arr here, safe to guess Mark did't see it. But I did and really appreciate that you took time to write it. Very thoughtful! Thank you for posting.

12-ish mins in, and judging by the fact that Isaac gets angrier and starts swearing when he stomps, this gonna be a FUN experience 🤣

I think they made it so when the gamers stomp angrily on the corpse of a difficult enemy, Issac can relate with your rage the longer he stomps.

This is the first time I've seen Mark be..Mark in awhile, like the old sort of excitement and old style of humor and such. I love it and it makes me happy to see him genuinely happy playing a game he really enjoys. I love every bit of it!

Isaac swearing the more he stomps is one of the funniest things I've ever seen added to a game.
