I'm actually surprised there were people able to put Matthias' body in the morgue when the outbreak was at full swing. Place must've been empty, and the necromorphs were ALL busy elsewhere. Also, how was it possible for a grab tentacle to get near the marker, shouldn't the negation field be preventing the tentacle from even getting that close?
@FadeicalPowerTV Жыл бұрын
Well you have to put it in perspective that it only took a few hours for the Ishimura to fall, I'd estimate somewhere between 4 to 5 hours before The Ishimura went totally silent and I'm almost certain that it wasn't too long after Vincent vented herself into the vacuum of space that the Kellion arrived for a comms array repair (which makes sense seeing as Matthius' last transmission mentioned that the communications are being interrupted) not all of the bodies that were generated by the mass suicide, homicide, and delusional hysteria were reanimated into necromorphs all at once. Over time dead flesh accumulates, so even bodies that get hacked up are used in some way (i.e: the drag tentacle, the slam tentacles, or just about any necromorph that doesn't resemble a humanoid being) at the point that Matthius dies, medical hasn't fallen yet, and the incidents around the ship are happening sporadically and randomly throughout the entirety of the ship, so there would be a moment where a crew would be able to move a body to the morgue. Truthfully a lot of events don't occur until after you've already arrived, such as when you're first on the Ishimura, Jacob Temple is still most likely working on the SOS beacon with the other survivors. Dr. Cross is also making her way around the ship while believing Isaac is Jacob and Isaac thinks Cross is Nicole. Mercer probably hadn't finished the work on the Hunter until moments prior to Isaac arriving in medical, prompting Mercer to unleash it onto Isaac, though he was originally gathering test subjects in medical using an edited video recording of Nicole to study necromorphs changing. It's really hard to gauge the timing of events but it's logical to think that a lot of what's told is happening simultaneously and that characters aren't sitting around with their hands tied.
@FadeicalPowerTV Жыл бұрын
And as for the drag tentacle, you are correct in that it shouldn't, but it was a seamless way for both the marker and Isaac to be loaded into the next section of the ships at the fastest possible rate which is probably why they decided to go that route. I preferred Mercer's original death. I thought it was funny that you could deny him necromorph-ication, and it fits the cult narrative that they're not afraid to die and actually probably more willing to die than anyone because they know convergence will make them whole. That's kinda the whole deal with unitologists
@Emot10ns Жыл бұрын
I don't think the anti necromorph field exists in the remake. I remember it being a movie thing only, since enemies always came at you in the original game anyway

Still dislike how they handled Hammond's death. Feels too cliche, compared to his original demise with him being torn apart brutally so abruptly. It instilled a sense of dread I wasn't expecting when first playing. Him sacrificing himself felt a little on the nose, like I wasn't expecting it, but wasn't surprised so I felt nothing. The boss fight after his death in the original may have helped too, cause you see the brute, and not long after you know it's coming after you. Chen was just some guy, and I didn't even get to fight him.

Great VA and world building especially at 48:00 with the man seemingly still having his nerve endings and the woman distracting and trying to attract the doctor to get the surgery even though her nerves are obviously burned and no longer intact. She still wants to try to get them fixed and you can hear the shock in her voice and the other guy you can tell he just wants to get back to work. Also it’s a great world because the markers would make some act and think irrationally because they finally feel like they’re right about their religion where they subconsciously know it’s a scam but won’t accept it because everyone’s told them it is and want to be right. Along with the fear of reprisal from unitology, which is obviously supposed to be Scientology which does the same thing. Using blackmail and there’s been suspicious deaths involving ex Scientologists who left that disgusting cult.
